I've had good and bad experiences here. Service is alright, but the tellers seem to chatter alot and I'm not sure who in the company decided chewing gum is acceptable/professional in a quiet facility. I do hope they review that policy since it is not pleasant having a teller smacking gum every word as they are helping you.

Unfortunately very disappointed in this branch... I had a meeting with Anesha where I withdrew funds from an account. I made it very clear to her that I wanted to make sure the funds were going to be deposited into another account from the time they were withdrawn and not the time they were deposited. It was my understanding that the funds would be calculated from the time of deposit, but Anesha assured me that was not the case numerous times. I actually had met with her twice to confirm this and called her once over the phone to triple check. Ultimately the bank decided to lie about our interaction which is unfortunate... I will never get the $1,200 back, but I am more surprised that a banking centre would lie so blatantly. They also lied about a conversation that I never had with a β€œbranch manager” .... I never even spoke to a branch manager. The funny part to me that I can’t wrap my head around is why a bank would be willing to lose a lifelong client over $1,200... just doesn’t seem like good business practice if nothing else. Lesson learned: do not bank at CIBC they would rather burn you for $1200 than retain an otherwise happy client for life. If Anesha clears the air on this matter then it is all water under the bridge. Ultimately she is the only person who knows about our interaction. I would also like to add that I have never given anything but a 5 star review, so this is very out of character for me and not something I enjoy doing...

I wasn't really expecting to write this type of review about a bank but here I am. First off, the reason why it's a 4 star (if I could've solely based on the service that Miss Luz offered it would have been 5 stars for sure). Miss Luz was able to help me get my banking in order and was able to get a good deal for my mortgage (although due to some circumstances was not able to go through with it). Miss Luz was very polite and determined to get the best for my needs and was diligent in following up with me and my situation. Very caring and was able to recommend me to my awesome realtor that took care of my whole process in finding a home that my pregnant wife and I are able to have a fresh start in. Miss Luz was able to bridge that connection between my realtor and I, and I can't thank her enough for it. So, if I just looked at the time I dealt with Miss Luz's, this would've been a 5 star, but due to the person I dealt with instead of Miss Luz, I had to minus a star (based solely on my experience with this person it would've been 1 star, and even more so NEGATIVE 5 stars after I heard what this person did). So honestly when coming into the bank I don't really like to be personal and stuff with the advisor and all, i usually have a business oriented mindset and just want to settle the things I need to and move on. So dealing with this person that wasn't Miss Luz, lied to me about how much downpayment I needed for my house and talking to her, I felt belittled and she was not taking my considerations into account. I was just another business transation to her (fair enough, same with me). Long story short, the way she had me take, my downpayment was double the amount I was initially going to spend and she has the audacity to say that I said my realtor did me a bad job and garbage like that and it got back to him and I was disgusted when he asked me about it... Like what the heck, you got the mortgage deal then spout nonsense and rip my name in the mud... So if you're dealing with CIBC Chinook, Miss Luz is your go to person for sure, she is top notch! And this other person, which I won't name had almost ruined my relationship with my realtor and I will definitely not bring my business to her EVER again. Cheers.

I have been dealing with CIBC for 15 years. I am closing all my accounts and moving my mortgage due to CIBC’s lazy team. Everything they do is painfully slow and it cost me a large pile of money!!! Brenda, you will be missed.

I've been a customer of CIB C for over 25 years and the female staff in this branch are beyond incompetent, rude, lazy, judgmental beasts!!! Never encountered such absolute disdain for a customer. Stay far away!!!! Cibc...do better. I am closing my account and switching banks, all over one woman's actions.

This review is regarding my families interaction with Alejandro Perdomo. After an in branch visit we have come to learn that his knowledge of general banking is lackluster to say the least. To make matters worst he says that he will "find out more information and give you a call". He has never followed up and after leaving multiple voicemails he has not called us back for more information. What I find more appalling is that he lacks knowledge, yet he puts up a facade of confidence by relaying incorrect information. This matter needs to be investigated as the problem seems to run deep into the branch with the management team deciding to ignore customer complaints.
