Part 1, posted in January 2019 I would not recommend HSBC in general and this branch specifically. 1) Just to create an account took around 2 hours. I have multiple family members, we spent almost 10 hours in four days 2) It took this branch 4.5 months to order my cheques. I ordered them in the beginning of August 2018 and received them in the end of December 2018. 4.5 months for simple cheques !!!!! 3) After two months (in October) I contacted the branch manager Anjana Parmar with this concern, she told me she cannot help, because she does not know why request for cheques has not been sent in August and September, even with her "help" the request has not been sent in October and November. After only my 8th email !!! cheques were eventually ordered..... and I received them in the end of December ... after 4.5 months .since I ordered them... 4) My family was extremely disappointed with Mrs. Parmar action or lack of it .... moreover her emails were not sympathetic ... and thus I asked her to let me know her manager's name. She refused to provide it ...... I have sent her four emails requesting her manager name, she refused to share this information ... I was puzzled ... I think it is unethical at least .... and .... I just gave up.... Anjana Parmar has mastered her tactics of wasting her clients time until they tired of emailing back and force and eventually give up ... I did not expect such poor customer service from HSBC ..... We are closing all our HSBC accounts and would suggest to stay away from this bank ...... Part 2, posted in July 2019 After I've posted my original review in January 2019, Mrs Anjana Parmar ordered her employees to post five stars reviews to compensate for mine and other negative reviews..... OMG.. Not sure where to start .... First of all it is unethical, second it is just simply wrong and this action violated Google's rules, as employees could not give 5 stars to themselves ... A few examples bellow: 1. Anh Nguyen works as a Financial Crime Risk Assurance Lead at this branch gave 5 stars to her own branch. 2. Katherine Chan works as a Premier Relationship Manager at this branch as well, She gave 5 stars to her own branch. ................. 3. and I can continue this list .....it is long... as I found other employees as well who gave 5 stars to their own branch.... Great job, Mrs Anjana Parmar! Instead of improving customer service you found a very creative way improving your branch rating.

The HSBC team here could be very experienced and knowledgeable (on the Premier/Advance side) or relatively new (teller side). But even though the tellers are new and inexperienced, they do have a nice smile on their faces and always try to help. The tellers, advisors, and manager are all super nice and friendly, and they are the reason I keep going back to this branch.

It says they are open until 6:00 today on their website and google however when I arrived at 5:30 they were closed. I tried to call the branch before coming and there is only a generic number which does not offer branch info.

Unbelievably incompetent staff. I fell i m ignored and disrespected. I opened a premier account couple of months ago. the account manager does not answer calls. Voice mails and ignores their customers. I asked them to resolve an issue about my account but its been over 26 days and no result. The funny part is that they told me to use my other financial institution to do transaction like cc payments. The bank management should train their employees well before they start the work.

The only thing i wish i could do with HSBC is rate them with 0 stars. DO NOT go to this company for your mortgage loans. We applied, were told it would take 5-7 business days and heard nothing back. After calling 3 times, each time being told we would hear back in 24/48 hours we still have not been pre-approved. We were told that since it had been so long we would have to reapply. So needless to say we wanted to cancel our pre-approval very quickly but you or the other departments of the bank cant even get ahold of the mortgage department. So here we are, waiting on a call back to cancel. Absolutely ridiculous. Absolute trash.

The worst experience you can have while trying to avail the help of an incompetent manager (A.Parmar) who is very little in knowledge and always in mood to linger on the things as she doesn't know how to complete them efficiently. She is just being rude, proud and and not willing to help any client infact realize them they just wasted her time Never recommend any one to go to this branch and deal with this manager. Also totally agree with Alex that she tells her staff and even her son Pranil Parmar to give 5 stars to get ignore with our real comments. Totally shameful if HSBC senior management is not taking any check or action about her doings to spoil the bank reputation.

Just terrible customer service. I rarely write reviews, but after my experience today, I felt compelled to write one to warn people. After several failed attempts at making an appointment over the phone, I decided to just go in for a visit today. I was finally able to get some face time with a manager to take care of business, but quickly realized why my calls were being ignored. The manager at this location behaves like he does not want to be there and that you are bothering his time. When I asked why my several call back requests over the last 4 weeks were never responded to, the manager just shrugged and said no one barely works at this location anymore. Not even a sorry. When I pressed on to try to get a better explanation and an apology, he just did not respond and kept on typing on his computer. I have been with HSBC for more than 10 years and noticed the service slowly deteriorating, but I think it's hit rock bottom now. I have put in complaints on their online feedback surveys many times, but those have never been answered once either. Why bother asking for feedback when there's zero follow up? If this branch can't serve people, just shut it down! Why bother giving customers miserable experience? I also bank with a few other major Canadian banks and my experience there are night and day compared to this branch. HSBC may have a global presence, but seem too big to care about little customers in Canada. I have had enough of this and will take my business elsewhere.

I went into this branch on the afternoon of Tuesday, 1st March 2022 seeking to provide information requested by the bereavement team in the UK. I was met with shrugs and words of β€˜we do not know what to do or who to send the information you have to’. I was instructed I should go away and get the information to meet the request made of me by the the bereavement team in the UK. I called the UK before and after this experience who were extremely apologetic about my experience at the McLeod Trail branch and that I had done everything they had instructed me to do accurately and as per their instruction. The lack of customer service was awful as was how I was made to feel less than a valued customer and human being when it was revealed the account of the deceased was not a Premier account member. A truly terrible personal experience and substandard customer service. My advice for HSBC account holders is to frequent other branches like Aspen Landing where the people are professional, diligent and kind.
