★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just want to disclaim that I'm leaving this review as someone who goes to a hair salon every two years or so and dreads it each time .
My appointment was at 10am this past Sunday, after having put off getting a haircut for an embarrassing amount of time until it had reached an unmanageable mid waist-length. The idea was simply to relieve some weight off my scalp but Quyen listened to my vague instructions and somehow gave me that rare mid-neck bob cut that doesn't flip away from the face all weird after a shower.
Aside from being a miracle worker, Quyen is a genuinely admirable woman whose directness and warmth was wonderful to bask in on a cold Vancouver winter morning. (There was also an absolute character of a chihuahua to physically warm your lap if you should choose.)
I was given some free styling product to sample, a stern urging to get my driver's license, and an open invitation to come back anytime for coffee and a chat. <3

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked two pedicures for a friend and I online. Super easy! We were warmly greeted when we arrived and offered drinks. We had deluxe pedicures and are both very happy with the service. The salon is clean, bright and comfortable. I would highly recommend booking an appointment here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a really good experience here getting a gel manicure. I had Hannah as my nail technician and she did this wonderful white design on each nail. The atmosphere was very relaxing with nice music playing and there was this adorable dog that they have that comes up to you and keeps you company during your experience. Would definitely come back again for my nails during the summer. I’m really happy with my experience and with how my nails turned out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a great experience visiting the „Canvas“. Quyen is wonderful and gave me a fantastic makeover. She took her time to give me professional advice for a new hairstyle and color and made sure I left the salon satisfied. She has very good taste, great hairstyling abilities and is very professional. In addition she also has the important ability of choosing a good team. During my pedicure I watched two other hairstylists work and their finished customers and they all looked great. My husband and I had pedicures done by Alex and Olga and were very satisfied. I highly recommend visiting this salon!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing salon! I finally decided to go in for a haircut and give them a try a little while ago, and I can safely say I am not going anywhere else! Quyen did such an amazing job with my hair, and I am obsessed with the shape and layering. My hair not only looked great right after the appointment, but I can also say it grew out so perfectly and still looks amazing a few months after my first appointment.
I have also gone in a few times now for a manicure with Hannah, and she has created the most amazing nails each time. They always looks so natural and suit my hands perfectly. I always leave with my eyes glued to my nails and get compliments on them almost daily.
And, of course, the best part about visiting the salon is the sweet salon dog who sits with you during every appointment. He is honestly the highlight of the day, and also happens to be the perfect model for showing off my new nails!
If you're thinking of booking, do it!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked a full set and pedicure with Hannah and could not have been happier with the service. She took her time and did an amazing job, giving me quiet and space to enjoy my pedicure (they have great massage chairs), and chatting with me about our cats during my manicure. The salon was relaxing and it was obvious that they care about their clients and providing a lovely experience. I never felt rushed, but like a cared for guest in the salon. My nails look fire and I look forward to booking with Hannah again soon, as well as returning for a hair appointment with the owner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to Canvas Hair + Nail Salon as part of my friend’s bridal shower and we had a great time! The ladies of Canvas were so warm and friendly. We had an excellent service. I ended up getting a pedicure and they did such a great job. They pampered us well :). They gave us a swag bag (thanks Canvas ☺️) with hair samples to try. We all left the salon feeling great. I would definitely come back and try their hair services.
