I had a nail appointment with Jessie L for a manicure and I was not satisfied with the service they provided me. I felt that the nail service I paid for was rushed. It was towards the end of my nail appointment that left a sour taste in my mouth regarding my overall experience at Joyride. My nails were drying after putting on top coat and Jessie said, "bye" to me even though I was still there waiting for my nails to dry. I felt that it was unprofessional for the employee, Jessie, to leave their customer before the customer left the salon. After 5 minutes of waiting by myself to let my nails dry, I asked the employee at the front desk where Jessie went. They informed me that Jessie finished their shift and left. I felt frustrated because I viewed Jessie's actions as unprofessional, not thorough, and not customer-service like to leave their customer while they are still at the salon. Jessie did not even inform me how long I should wait until my nails would be dried. Overall, I felt like my nail appointment was rushed and did not meet my expectations for how a nail salon appointment should look and feel like. I was not impressed with Jessie leaving before I did as I was not finished my appointment yet. Jessie's actions demonstrated that they valued leaving from work on time than to make the customer feel valued and welcomed.

We took a small group from a local teen mentorship program to Joyride this weekend and we had the BEST experience. From booking to follow up, the staff were warm, flexible, knowledgable and accommodating. Also, their nail technicians did such beautiful work! Would highly recommend Joyride if you are looking for a place to go with your girlfriends or to simply treat yourself.

I wanted to try a new place close to home since my regular place (Ari) flooded. I’m not new to luxury manicures but this place is expensive for legit no reason. I spent $93 on a shellac (no hard shell) manicure that didn’t even come with a massage. The service, the decor, the general vibes and essentially what you get for the money isn’t worth it. It just didn’t feel worth the price. Maybe I went on an off day, but it’s a no for me. EDIT: my appointment was on April 15 @ 2:45 PM. I also go by Neshia.

Took my mum here for a mother/daughter pedicure and had a fantastic experience. We were greeted warmly on arrival, the ladies doing our pedicures were so friendly, we had a lovely chat during our treatment and they did a fantastic job on our nails. All in all so positive, we will be back again, thank you!

My second maybe third ever pedicure and it was fabulous. I love the design and environment when you walk into Joyride. The selection of colours were endless and it lasted a good two or more weeks before I noticed any chips. This was after everyday spent on a beach trudging through sand and the ocean. Very satisfied and would go back. Thanks a bunch!

Went in for a gel removal on both nails and toes and a pixie (clear nail polish) mani/pedi. I thought I’d give my nails a break from gel and thought this salon would provide a chemical free alternative that would benefit my nails. However, the nail tech over-filed my nails to remove the existing gel nail polish. At one point I jerked my hand away bc she was drilling so deep that it actually hurt. After using the electric drill she proceeded to use a hard file. I have scrapes and scratches all over my nail bed from her over-filing a second time. I won’t be back and unfortunately my nails are more damaged than when I came into the salon. It actually hurts to wash my hands, my nails are so thin that they’re a pink colour in some spots, and the surface of my nails is textured from the filing. I’m very disappointed after seeing all of the good reviews and wouldn’t recommend or go back.

I hade a gel+ mani here 6 days ago. I didn’t go to any saloon for two years because of covid so i was scared at first, but every thing was so clean and i felt so relaxed there. Anahita did my nails she was so friendly and did the exact thing i wanted. I didn’t write the review till now because i wanted to make sure my nails last. They look good after 6 days. Ps: They have happy hours which I used and saved some money.

Well I guess I’m the one of unlucky customer. Worst experience doing my nails so far. My first time went there and I left so disappointed. I was so excited to get my first vegan nail polish that day. I’m living in Coquitlam, that day was so excited to have my appointment at 9.00 on my only day off for the week. Lena was the person who did my Maia mani. I was there and waited couple minutes until you guys opened. But suddenly I wasn’t feeling welcome right after I came in , she didn’t even ask me anything even the basic questions when you greet customers specially in service industry, so that time I was the one who asked her first instead. And then when did the nails I asked her can I do nail art, she said we didn’t have time which is I understand I didn’t put add on services on my appointment and I asked again to put stickers on my nail because it will be quick. And she answered if we have time. I was so disappointed and didn’t have mood to do my nails to be honest(my day off and self care mood was ruined). I don’t understand about customer time slots but I felt she did my nail like we were in a rush to catch something, she ended up did it not neat and not even asked me how was it after shaping. Until the next customer came in I felt she did my nails more rushing even in the end we had time to do stickers. But not even 24 hours and after got home I saw my my nail polish chipped already and stickers looked folded (while I got charged for $2 per sticker). So I decided to sent email to fix my nails and my first email got respond and you guys told me something wrong with the sealing process which is she didn’t do it properly probably. And after asked about availability you guys didn’t responded for couple days until I followed up and you guys said it went to junk. And I asked again about availability to fix it because I’m working too and living so far. So I need to wait until day off to go there. Tried to asked perfect time to squish me in, but again after couples email I never heard anything from you guys anymore to fix my nails until this time. I never feel so disappointed to do my nails until this happened to me. I felt wasted my money and time for nothing (not the good nail result nor the service). I don’t mind to spend more if I get what I’m looking for and get good customer service. But this one sorry to say ?
