★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The sushi is very tasty and reasonable in price. I was disappointed to see plastic straws in a place that serves food from the ocean (if it's fresh that is and not from 'Lake Costco'). The spring rolls were $4.95 and not made in house. I'd advise against these items. Only order things that they make in house, you'll taste the difference and appreciate the love they put into their food. The staff are very sweet and it's nice to see a family run business.
To the team, please go straw less and let the community know that you respect the ocean that your food comes from.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic Japanese food, made in house. Takoyaki has two big octopus inside and price is the same! Alaska roll is awesome. Salmon and avocado are fresh. Rice is about the right amount and sticky enough to hold such size of sushi roll. For mango California roll, I said I want mango but don't want too much of crab (since Alaska roll has crab meat already), so they substitute yam for me. I would definitely come back here! Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This little Japanese restaurant is perfect in my books, based on my few visits. Bathroom always clean. The food always fresh and tasty, the staff are very friendly, the location is great and the prices are amazing! The eateries on West Fourth are mostly great but a bit pricey, this place is not. When shopping on the Avenue, hold out and try this place sometime. Best tempura prawns in quintessential Japanese form are light and crispy, fresh and healthy. The veggie rolls are all delicious. And wait for it...Pressed salmon sushi (WOW). This same quality, quantity and style of sushi would costs about 24 dollars more elsewhere. Seriously, check this place out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried this place just because it was the closest sushi joint near me, I wasn't amazed by any stretch and it was weirdly expensive compared to a lot of other places I would frequent.
It was very quiet inside for early-dinner-time but there were plenty of door-dash orders going out so the locals must like it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would say the sushi here is OK and unfortunately not top tier as it tasted fairly soft, mushy and there was no distinct flavor or fresh tasting vibe. The agedashi tofu and Veggie Gyozas were also pretty bland including the sauces. Even the tea tasted so weak it gives me the vibe this sushi joint is cutting corners or isn't offering at least fresh menu items.
Apart from that, a nice joint with lovely super friendly and approachable staff. The sushi boat dish for the guoza is super rad and would be nice to have authentic serving trays for the other dishes.
I hate to give an uncomplimenting review but is all true, sorry but the price wasn't the most value for money and therefore justified.
