★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Back in the neighbourhood, I wanted to get a haircut with Ashley - but she’s super busy! So I went with Kenzii and absolutely loved it. I have difficult hair but both Ashley & Kenzii always deliver! Such talented staff, this place is a must!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely poor service at the Front Desk. I called and was leaving a voicemail when it was picked up. After booking the day off and driving an hour I was told no appointment was booked. No apology. I tried to explain my frustration of not being able to confirm an appointment for over a week-no answered emails. No answered phone calls. I was told there was a tragedy, and sent an email sending my condolences. Even though hair is not important right now, it would have been very respectful to instead of hanging up on me while I was trying to explain my dilemma and my own grief of losing a family member, to at least listen and offer a solution. I will give the studio 4 stars, to show grace as everyone makes mistakes, as Ashley is an amazing stylist.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've never had a salon cancel a hair appointment on me before, but now I'm two for two with Christopher. The first time, he cancelled my appointment less than an hour before it started, and the second time he cancelled the day before. Both times he apologized and offered to book me in ASAP, but then didn't respond when I replied to ask what times were available. The first time I did eventually get rebooked (after emailing him again several days later) and the haircut was fine - it didn't work super well with my hair type but I was willing to go back for my next cut and give some feedback on what I'd like done differently. But after a second cancellation and not hearing back from him, I'm just going to find a different salon - it's just not worth the hassle and the ~$100 per visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staffs were very kind and nice. Chris was really good at hair cut. He did great job to my 12yrs old son. The price was $50 before tax and tip, quite pricy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have never been to the same salon twice in my whole life until I met Lucy at The Attic hair. I have a little social anxiety so the idea of making small talk with someone really stressed me out but Lucy is so great that I always feel super comfortable and happy to chat with her. She is such an authentic and approachable human.
When I first met her, I wanted to transition from waist length dyed dark brown hair to waist length Khaleesi blond ie, white hair. She was super helpful and honest with what realistically could be done with my hair at the time and made a plan for me to transition over a few visits. After we decided to chop off a little length, it was easy to transition to my desired hair colour over 2-3 visits. My hair, to this day, is extremely healthy because of those strategic decisions we made.
Prior to Covid, she would always have little vegan snacks in her drawer for me (because I'm vegan) and would offer me coffee/tea/water throughout root the process. She is SO considerate.
The studio itself is really nice. All the stylists walk around complimenting each other and checking out how everyone is progressing.
Atlas is the resident dog and he is really lovely too! He is always happy for a head scratch but won't pay too much attention to you unless you have a stash of treats in your pocket.
Anyways, if you are looking for a literal blond wizard I highly recommend Lucy at the Attic. She is phenomenal.

I have very curly/textured hair and it’s so hard to find someone I can trust to cut my hair, especially in Vancouver. I’ve been cutting my own hair for about 8 years due to many bad experiences but I’m so happy I finally faced my fears and went to a professional, I’ve returned multiple times. Great attention to detail, knowledgeable and kind, he has also thought me a lot about how to take care of my curls. I always get complimented on my hair cut and everyone asks who did it. I’ve recommended him to all my curly haired friends and they all say the same thing.
If you have textured hair I can’t recommend Chris enough, my hair is part of my identity and I’m so happy to have found someone who can truly cater to it.
