★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another victim of fraud. Signed up for a plan cause they verbally said there was a "local store discount." The actual plan costed more with less data compared to what was promised. They tell you whatever you want to hear to make you sign up, cause they make money from activating your account. They don't care about honouring their promise. Will be reporting this store to CRTC.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was having issues with my daughters phone that we are with Koodo on a contract only 6 months into. I spoke with Koodo customer service and they said to go to nearest store for verification. He kept saying their wasn’t a warranty because we didn’t pay for extended so he was just refusing to help and basically telling me it would be best to upgrade. So I called Koodo customer service back and they said yes you are covered by warranty since it is a hardware issue as it’s her battery. So they said I need to go back to the store. It’s just ridiculous. The Koodo/ Telus store doesn’t even know their own policies and just not helpful. I’ve never had such poor service as I have had with Koodo

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am documenting my experiences with a certain sales team that was outside the Chalo Fresh stall on the evening of Dec 4th, 2021.
I was looking at obtaining a phone number for my business and was interested in Koodo's plans.
Earlier, this year in Aug 20201 I had a very bad experience with a Telus door-to-door agent for phone numbers.
Having burnt my fingers there (ended up with Freedom) I decided to obtain my new number from the sales team outside the Chalo Fresh stall.
The entire sequence of events from to obtain a number was very disappointing.
A couple things that seem to stand out in these interactions :
1. Most people are smooth talkers, however when it comes time to deliver they are : Not available ; Not responding ; Sick ; Ignoring calls ; In the bathroom...etc
2. Is there some power equation that comes in play here such as, "we are doing you a favor" ?
3. Basic professionalism is tossed out of the window.
It took me 2 full days chasing the team for getting details from activating my number to get my agreement. Is that how you treat a customer ?
This raises a important question that why are these people not held accountable for the promises they make ?
Is there is regulatory body / punishment for these vendors (an their employees) who promise the moon but fail to deliver ?
Do these agencies / bodies undergo some basic customer service training ?
Kudos to Koodos as these are the very interactions which make customers frustrated.
I choose to give you 3 only because one the agents (Abhinav) took my calls post regular working hours and I appreciate that. Else you would have a 1 or no stars.
