β β β β β I have a 2000 Saab 9-3 convertible. My trouble started one evening when I unlatched my top to open it. Nothing happenned when I clicked the roof open toggle switch. I thought I was low on hydralic fluid but that was not case. Nothing I could do so I taped the roof leading edge for the evening. Next day, I went out to start the car, the car would start but would die right away. I changed the DI myself because I got spares. No luck. I changed the Mass Air Flow sensor, still no luck. I called Mike@Beacon. He told me I had to tow the car in but the earliest I could book would be a week away. I waited a week and towed my car there this morning. Mike looked at it and told me it was a bad ground connection in the trunk. He fixed it for $150. Mike is very knowledge-able with Saabs. Without his knowledge, the typical auto shop might have to spend a lot of time looking for what's wrong with my car. I would likely end up paying a lot more. If you are a Saab driver, Mike can help you.

Two minutes after visiting his Etobicoke shop, he knew more about my limping 9-5 than I did -- including the pitfalls of keeping it. β β β β β Mike almost made me cry (happy tears). I have been searching for a 2008+ SC rear door everywhere for the last 2 years. I called them because someone online mentioned they were decently close to me. He had the door. Very cost effective. Very kind genuine Saab enthusiast. Definitely will be doing business with them again for anything I canβt do. ?

β β β β β Saabs owners, this is a great place to visit though you know owning/maintenance cost is never low.
Prouldy owning 3 Saabs, all well mantained @ Beacons Motors esp. I've compared here and other Saab specialist in GTA.
Remember to talk to Mike to gain some more Saab knowledge before you buy some parts or a used Saab yourself. Mike looks busy but is always willing to share his recommendations. Like I was eager to collect a 2011 Saab 95 aero but in the end I didn't. Mike helped me saving my $ most of the time, though there was one time I babied my 2008 Saab 93 Aero Sportscombi and he installed OEM rear shocks and that pair costed more than 3k. That's why I said you know keeping your beloved Saab in excellent shape with all OEM parts could never be cheap, but the driving experiecnce brings you endless joy and smile.

β β β β β My Saab 93 wouldn't start this morning so I looked up Saab specialty shops in the area and this one was one of the highest rated so I figured I'd give them a call. The man who answered was very friendly and seemed to know exactly what was wrong with it and gave me an estimate over the phone. I then had my car towed over and his prior diagnostic was correct and it was actually less expensive than he had initially thought. They replaced a sensor and called me an hour later telling me it was ready to pick up. Great place to go for anything Saab related and I'm planning to go back here for all future work!
Edit from over a year later than my first review, I have 4 Saabs now and I've been bringing them to Beacon for any work that I haven't been able to do myself. Still an amazing place to go and Mike is super knowledgeable on anything Saab, even if he doesn't hasn't dealt with a specific issue before he'll always figure it out!

β β β β β Mike is the man! Extremely knowledgeable and honest. Has a very nice shop that is my go to for anything relating to my Saab. He knows these cars inside and out and you can always count on meeting fellow Saab enthusiasts when you come in for service. Does high quality work for unbeatable prices and has a very spacious shop with a waiting area if you want to hang out and talk Saabβs while having your car serviced.... or watch tv. Mike also sells used Saabβs and performs service on other cars outside of Saab if need be. Happy to have someone I can trust with my Saab who will take the best care possible to keep them living and breathing amongst the other euro cars on the road today.
