Went to buy a 2011 bmw 335i coupe with 114km on the dash. I picked it up the same day in 30 mins or so on my way home the engine blew up. They claimed their so called mechanic checked everything and made sure it was fine but if the car was fine the engine wouldn’t have blew like that, and they try to say it’s drivers error but how is putting the car is D and driving straight an drivers error. When I got a replacement engine their mechanic quoted me for $1500 for labour and I dropped the engine off to him he also had me waiting for 2 weeks after he said he would start the week before, until I called to find out how’s the progress he’s telling me he doesn’t have time and don’t know when he will start when I could’ve find another shop to do it way back when I got the replacement engine. I highly recommend make sure you do your report on this dealership some of these reviews are made by them. Please get the cars checked out professionally after picking it up from them. It may be a lemon.

The guys were very friendly and had the car I wanted, and it looked good. They fixed the two minor issues I had with it before I picked it up. Bought the car for under 8k, and here I am 4 months later spending 5k to fix it. I love the car too much to dump it. I blame myself for not getting it inspected by a proper mechanic before buying it but I drove in from far away and didn’t know a reliable shop nearby…one would assume it would be in proper condition before selling it but I guess a safety doesn’t include engine and transmission stuff. The guys may have known about the problems or not, I don’t know. Would definitely recommend you get the car checked out before buying next time. There are mobile mechanics who will inspect it and give you an unbiased opinion. Lesson learned.

This review has to be about nothing else but Terry. - Incredibly responsive since day 1 I engaged him inquiring about availability. - Very honest and transparent about was included, what was refundable and what wasn't. - He was very happy I actually inquired about a second set of wheels with the car I got and to my pleasant surprise there was a set. He said sometimes people forget to ask or are not interested, and it becomes a hassle for him instead of an opportunity for extra $$ in Kijiji. I'm from Ottawa and all negotiation in the distance was very smooth and streamlined. - TERRY IS A VERY CUSTOMER ORIENTED PERSON (capitals intentional) he picked me up with my family at Union station when the car was ready, he is a truly fine gentleman, honest and polite, not once I felt sales pressure during the negotiation and he even offered great advice on where to eat close to his office. - I asked for pictures of "THE UGLY" of the car and he did so certainly, every defect he did a close up on, I was able to check and he didn't hide anything in the pictures. NOW COMES THE BEST PART: Disclaimer, I'm no average customer and take a huge pride in the ownership of the Volvos I drive. - Terry sent me up front the Carfax report and I inquired in the two shops the vehicle was serviced if there were any outstanding recommendations from the lasts visits. Volvo of Toronto gave me two that I passed to Terry with part numbers to be replaced and everything after I did my research on the internet. Terry was actually very thankful I came across that info and he went ahead and purchased the parts to have them replaced regardless the safety shop would call them or not, and certainly he showed me the invoices for the parts and invoice for the labor during safety. Even better, I confirmed with my own eyes the parts were new as I went straight to them as soon as I popped the hood open. - The safety check bill came considerably heavier than anticipated as the car sat for a while. By then, Terry and I had already arrived at a price agreement after a fair and REASONABLE negotiation. Terry did not blink and footed all the repairs without touching our set price. He showed me proof of all the parts installed and labor, which again I confirmed they were actually fresh parts, some straight Volvo Genuine, other decent quality OE or aftermarket options. - Nothing in life is perfect and there was one issue I noticed at pick-up on which took place off hours. This is the absolute cherry of the pie when it comes to Terry's customer orientation. Terry gave me full trust, since it was not a safety issue that would impact my drive home, he asked if I was ok taking the car and having it fixed and he'll cover the bill. We both saw each other's honesty in our eyes so I took the car on his word. We maintained active communication throughout the repair process, I would have done it myself gladly but was so busy at work I could not afford the time, besides, Terry insisted on a written bill so he could engage the shop who executed the repairs. After a reasonable negotiation we reached an agreement where Terry covered the portion of the bill that it was rightful to be charged to him as I took advantage of having the car taken apart and requested additional items that had nothing to do with vehicle certification and Terry should not be liable for (the nature of buying a 12yr old used car you know). I got my funds wired immediately and Terry looked after me the whole time. Takeaways: - Buying a car out of town, I may think about it next time. But would certainly consider doing business with Terry again and will absolutely recommend him in the blink of an eye. - Terry is a GENTLEMAN who is very REASONABLE and I want to stress the difference between reasonable and "yes to all", he genuinely cares about his customers and the successful closure of his transactions, but keep in mind the guy has to make a living and is not a charity foundation. - Car is a lovely and solid TANK, just what I was looking for

I dealt with Terry regarding a vehicle I was very interested in. Whilst the deal was not able to proceed, due entirely to circumstances outside of their control, I can’t suggest Terry enough. Dealing with a car guy, as a car guy myself, is very refreshing. They were able to offer an accurate and reasonable trade price, based on their knowledge. He was very communicative and transparent throughout the whole process. While the deal didn’t happen this time, I’d have no qualms about going back and dealing with Terry again if needed!
