Bare Wax + Sugaring Bar- West 4th

Ann-Marie was amazing! She made this first sugaring experience as pleasant as it could be, and I'm very happy with the results! She was very thorough and attentive of how I was feeling, and I felt very comfortable with her the whole time. I will definitely be back to see her!

I received a Brazilian wax 10 days ago. I was pressured into getting the sugaring! I never had ingrown hairs till now and hair growth this fast. I was told it would be opposite. I thought maybe it’s me, but my daughter also had the exact same problem with her armpits. Don’t advertise it’s better, when it’s not. The lady herself was nice, but I won’t be going back.

I came for my appointment and my fault I was about 15 minutes late and they were fully booked. I was still able to get into my appointment at my timeslot and had 15 minutes for my sugaring appointment. I had scheduled a full Brazilian with Erin. This was my first time with Erin and my second time here. Erin was amazing. She removed all the hair, was quick efficient, relatively painless as it can be and was friendly and professional. My next appointment I'm booking with her! Quick in and out, just the way I like it.

This is my second time doing sugaring and I love it! Overall great experience! All of the girls there are super nice and welcoming. My first appointment was with Tinelle and second one with Vanessa. I recommend both!

Bare Wax is great! I have been going here for about 4 years now for my Sugar Brazilian Wax and I've never had a bad appointment. All the girls are super professional, knowledgeable, and speedy with their services. I have also tried the West 1st location and it is also a winner. 10/10

I have tried out a few salons for waxing over the last few years and while I've had my favourites, Bare on West 4th has them all beat. I was a client of Sugarbox too and loved their service until I had to find somewhere near to home and was pleased to find that Bare was apart of their family! Booking my first appointment a few months ago was a breeze and due to the last minute booking on my end and it being right before the holidays, both girls I got were amazing. I forget who did my arms but she was an ANGEL and made me feel so comfortable and laughed with me the entire time. Erin did my brazilian and full legs and I can confidently say that was a breeze compared to any other time. I had to admit, I had been bad and hadn't waxed in a few months but Erin was patient, took her time to make sure I was comfortable and made it an almost painless experience. She not once made me feel embarrassed for the state of my hair lol and the conversation was amazing at distracting me. As I had gotten hard wax then, she reassured me it was the right choice given how long it had been but suggested sugaring for the next time. I had done sugaring at Sugarbox before but it had been eons since doing it and I was hesitant to say the least. Nevertheless, I took her advice and rebooked with Erin for a few weeks out for sugaring, full leg and full arm (and got some cute masks while I paid while browsing their retail section!). I am SO glad I did because when I came in for my second wax recently, it was a breeze! Mistakenly, I had walked to my appointment and worked up a sweat but Erin made sure I wasn't in any pain and explained how my temperature was affecting the wax but reassured me everything was coming out great. I have NEVER seen myself so smooth. I was in shock! My legs and arms were done with soft wax and let me tell you, I finished it all like a champ if I do say so myself. I was also pleasantly surprised when Erin remembered me after so many weeks. Again, Erin and I had an incredible conversation as she became my therapist for an hour and a half lol but it felt like catching up with an old friend than chatting with someone getting all up in there with hot wax. The receptionist, whom I haven't caught her name yet unfortunately, is a total sweetheart and makes sure to keep you in the loop if they're running late or always such fun to chat for a little bit to and from your appointment. I'm booked in again for my next services and surprisingly am counting down the days I can come back in to Bare! And to add some general reviews for those curious, for full legs/full arms/sugar brazilian it was $155 without tip if I'm remembering correctly which is a great deal for how thorough and efficient they are! I would recommend going to the bathroom before your appointment as it's a little trip to theirs and it's definitely worth a glance at their retail shelves! I have not tried their other services but they seem to also offer nail services which have peaked my interest and I've heard great things talking to the other clients who are there when I go. I highly recommend Erin who has a limited schedule so book in advance on their super easy to navigate website. And always remember to exfoliate and listen to their aftercare rules y'all!

I go to Bare Wax for all my hair removal services, including sugaring and threading. Kiara is my go-to gal and she is always very attentive, paying great attention to detail. She also always makes sure to remind me of proper after-care information. I have been a repeat customer for years and don't have any need to even think about going elsewhere.

Wow! Such a great experience. I went for a Brazilian sugaring with Ann-Marie and was a little bit nervous as I was 36 weeks pregnant. She was so kind and made me feel so relaxed. She took her time (as I was super sensitive) and checked in with me regularly. She was professional but also so friendly. Would 100% recommend and will return! Thanks! Kate
