Terrible, terrible store; to be avoided by all means. I spent $30,000 buying my appliances in this store. After numerous follow up with impolite employees, everything arrived way too late. I had to call thousand times and go there hundred times to get a date when my appliances would be delivered, but even that didn’t help considering incompetent employees and owner of this store. The fun part started after delivery, among 8 products that I have ordered, 4 of them required repairs. The freezer (sold at $10,000 !!!!) came with missing parts, and frosting since day 1. Believe it or not, after 3 months of having it and having 3 different companies to repair it, haven’t been able to use it for even 1 day. The oven has been making huge noise, after visiting two specialists, bunch of parts need to be changed inside the oven. It is still not fixed after 3 months !!! The fridge also has been making noises, but again after several intervention, it is still not fixed. This store is a scam, nobody answers your calls or questions, they just charge you huge money and deliver you faulty products. After several requests from the owner of store and him not caring at all about a client who spent over $30,000 to buy so many items, I havr involved my lawyer and I am sure they will pay the price.

I was in the market for a double oven and a stovetop. there prices are higher than other places but I wanted seamless service and a friend had recommended them, so I chose to go with Almar. I put the order in the middle of Feb 2020 and I was told that they receive my order in one month. I was contacted in middle of March but by then the first lockdown had started. After the lockdown was over I contacted them but was told that part of my order was returned!!!??? to make the story short I finally got my appliances that I paid in full on the first week of February 2020 on the third week of June 2020. I again put an order with them on the first week of August for a fridge and dishwasher, because mishaps happen and Barry seemed like a competent salesperson. I was told that I would get my order in the first week of September. After my order didn't arrive by the last week of October and after I saw that Barry's level of involvement in this sale was to forward my e mail to the LG rep, I cancelled my order! Mishaps happen to everyone but twice in a row is a trend. This company once was reputable and good but not anymore. whether it's because they are too small for the big name brands to give any attention to, or the old generation is retiring and the new generation is dreaming of selling the real state and retiring, but one thing is for sure this is not the company that it used to be! I can not in good conscience recommend them to anyone!

I am extremely satisfied with the quality of service I received at Almar. Barry took his time to compare appliances based on our likes and dislikes. He then found the most competitive prices. The specs and technical aspects of the appliances were described. I left feeling confident in my choices. I was then impressed by the professionalism and expertise of the installers. They clearly knew what they were doing, and they did it well. I will be sure to refer friends and family !

I recently purchased an entry level Bosch dishwasher from their Decarie store location. The sales representative Erik Ouellette was very helpful . He avoided long lead times due to Covid factory backlogs, by selecting a unit that I really liked and within my budget from his available stock. To do this he had to go through a lengthy list. I even got to see it in their showroom. Their installation contractor Cite Air were also great in very busy times. Monica was both persistent and consistent in getting the installation done in a reasonable timeframe. You have to be patient in these trying times. The installers Eddie and Chris were professional, courteous and relaxed and were very skilled at what they do. They were as good as it gets in the appliance industry. The dishwasher works great and my wife is extremely happy. Thank you so much Almar Appliances and Cite Air. I definitely recommend both companies.

Snags can happen, but it is how the company deals with a concern that speaks to client service. A miscommunication led to delays, but when I called and spoke with Barry, he followed up and made it right. The men who delivered and installed knew their stuff and did a very good job. I am a happy customer.

*Update 1*: I initially gave Almar good review, but I changed my mind. After-sale service was very bad, fridge did not fit my standard door, so the delivery guys just left the fridge outside, leaving me stranded to look for another solution. No help, and they said contact another guy to take off the door or the fridge to bring it in, at an extra $250. For real, this is so stupid and a rip off. Learnt my lesson, avoid this store at all cost. Would never recommend to familes, or friends, or anyone. Just go to Costco and buy appliances there guys. They offer free delivery AND installation. Hassle free no question ask return as well. Almar charged $70 for delivery, extra for installation, AND want to charge me $250 to get the fridge in even though my door is standard size. The worst! *Update 2*: received what they called "new" Speed Queen DR7 dryer today, and guess what, it started leaking from internally the first time the steam supply line is connected. No leak at the connection, but water was dripping from underneath the machine. Clearly a defective machine and they called it "new". Very sad and disappointed. Learnt my lesson and next time, I will only buy from Costco.

Over the years, through different houses, condos, in Montreal and environs, I keep coming back to Almar. There are many options when shopping for appliances, so selection, price and most importantly service are what determine for me where I shop. I always return to Almar because I love the personalized owner / operator service, the prices are competitive to any other store, and the service is UNMATCHED in the city in my experience. I have sent numerous friends and family to Almar and they always report back saying how well taken care of they were, from the selection to delivery. Thank you to Barry and the team, I’m sure it won’t be long until I’m back for more.

I purchased a fridge from Almar and I have to say that I am very happy with my purchase. My salesman Tullio is very knowledgeable, and I could tell that he is an experienced salesperson who knows his appliances. I also have to mention the delivery guys, they removed the old Sub-Zero fridge and brought in the the new fridge with precision. I was worried that the wall or the entryway would be nicked, not a chance! They were incredible! Thank you Almar! I would definitely recommend Almar Appliance.
