I had an amazing experience at Aldo today! Grace was an absolute gem, she went above and beyond. Was very patient with me, checked inventory on every item I requested. Cleaned all the shoes before I tried them on and I'm also very happy with my purchase. A very personable individual and overall outstanding service.

I was in there today to buy a necklace. Some of the worst customer service I've ever received. The cashier couldn't have been more rude!!!

Staff didn’t even acknowledge me the entire time I was there, even when a couple staff members became available and I was standing there with shoes to get sizes for, they just chatted with each other so I ended up leaving. I didn’t go in there just to look I NEED shoes but won’t be back because that’s not the service anyone deserves.

Worst experience at any store. The girls working at this store are extremely rude and atrocious. I don't know who had hired them or why they are operating in this manner because from reviews this seems like a recurring issue that has been unresolved. Poor management by Aldo.

Went to ALDO CF Chinook Centre just now bought a bandu hair accessory. I didn't leave the mall as I was still shopping and I realized that the bandu was missing a few gems on it. I returned to the store shortly after to return it and I was told I can't return it , even though it was never worn. As I bought it just now. I told her to exchange it and she said it was the only one in store and they were the only store in Calgary to carry the Disney Cinderella collection. Resolved after the third attempt, but those girls that worked today, need a refresher in customer service.

One of the worst customer service experiences in my life. Been an Aldo customer since i was in elementary school of 3 decades and now boycotting the company! Purchased 2 sets of Chelsea boots that fit very tight walking around in the store while i was wearing thin socks and hurt the bottoms of my feet due to the poor craftsmanship. I decided to buy a pair of their insoles which is probably a add-on sales tactic of why they make the sole so painfully uncomfortable in the first place.... I buy the boots, i get home, shower, try on one pair inside the house wearing my normal sized socks now and it was so PAINFULLY tight that they were completely unwearable! The next couple of days when i was in the area i brought the shoes back, and the sales associate went into the back room and said the 'manager' felt they were previously worn and couldn't do a size exchange. I asked to see the manager, she came out, she said she looked over my Online Feedback Review and claimed it said i wore them out in public. I looked at the computer screen and i ask 'Where does it say that?', she had no response as it wasn't true. Pathetic that they used a customer email review to try to use it against them to dodge an exchange. Just wow! Unbelievably crossing the line of privacy. And to think the time i invested to give feedback to make their company better was even considered in a customer exchange or refund is unsettling. I will never fill out one of those again. Then she says there is a touch of dust on the bottom of the shoes, i bent down and sweeped my hand off the floor, my hand was completely covered in dust so thick that it was a dark blue-grey! Floors were disgustingly filthy, proof that those floors haven't been cleaned/sweeped/washed in over 3 weeks! No response after i challenged them on that excuse too. Then she mentioned that the bottom of the shoe has a touch of worn to them. So i said, "Okay if that's the case then you sold me previously worn shoes." Again, no response, no solution. It's their company policy to do exchanges on defective or footwear that was previously worn but was sold as 'New'. After being fed up with the 'managers' bs excuses and non-existent and horrendous customer service i stormed out of the store. She is completely customer service incompetent. Feeling like id get a proper solution and things 'made right' from Head Office, i decided to escalate the matter through them. Until then, im boycotting the company and telling everyone i know to stay away from the Chinook location. A absolute trash customer service & shopping experience from Aldo! All one has to do is scroll down through the REAL reviews below and you'll find similar exchange/return issues with the incompetent & shady store manager. *Edit: Head Office was appalled by the terrible customer service and offered a full refund and apologized on behave of the terrible Chinook management.

I have always had great experiences shopping at Aldo and never had any issues with returns. I made a purchase online recently and the boots did not fit properly so I went into the Chinook location in Calgary to return them. The level of customer service I received was quite honestly atrocious. The person at the cash was rude, unhelpful and made me feel as though I was a burden for asking for assistance in my return. She even asked me if I had worn the boots (in an accusatory tone) which I absolutely had not as they did not fit. She ultimately told me she could not process it in store and sent me away with a shipping label. To be honest, I am a loyal Aldo customer but this experience will have me second guessing future purchases. As someone in the customer service industry this was unacceptable.
