Tanis has been working in the childcare field for over 18 years. She graduated with a Diploma in Early Childhood Supervision from Lethbridge College and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Services with Athabasca University. Tanis was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and has also lived in Vancouver, British Columbia but loves to call Calgary home. Tanis has extensive experience in several facets of childcare including day homes, day care and innovative child care. She enjoys spending time in the classrooms, building relationships with the children, supporting the teaching team and setting a positive example. She believes education is the primary building block to set the children up for success for their future. Tanis is a strong mentor and supports her team to ensure each member is providing a caring environment for every child. She is excited to take on the role of Director at Willowbrae Academy East Hills. Tanis welcomes you and is looking forward to working with your family.

He has learned sooo much since being there, he tries and loves new foods, is learning potty training, and getting really good at his colours and letters! The facility is clean and welcoming, the curriculum and staff are amazing, the food is excellent and healthy and the kids are always busy with activities! The communication is above and beyond, we get daily reports and can access live cameras throughout the day.

The management is very helpful and cooperative in any matter concerning my kids. The educators are well experienced and knowledgeable. I was worried about leaving him to go back to work, but the staff at Willowbrae are AMAZING!! Having the ability to check the live feed throughout the day is great. I love seeing him have fun, learning and growing. Any questions or concerns are addressed right away. I have recommended Willowbrae Academy to my friends, colleagues and parents in my mom's group. My son LOVES going every day.

Communication with parents is excellent! My children enjoy the variety of crafts, activities, outdoor time and great meals/ snacks. We also love the ability to check in on our children via the live cameras at any time. Would recommend this facility to any parent!

The classrooms are spacious and nice and the environment is clean and safe. The teachers are so caring and plan amazing fun and educational activities for the children every day. My son is always happy and I know he is having a great time each time he goes! I cannot wait for him to learn and grow up surrounded by the wonderful staff and his friends at Willowbrae Academy.
