Dayhome with Judy - Calgary

Judy is a very, VERY special lady! She is genuine, compassionate, straight- forward and dependable - one of the most intuitive and trustworthy people we've ever known. Our 2 children have been at Judy's dayhome for over 5 years. She's provided the elusive integrity and peace of mind that we could not find anywhere else, which is worth every penny. Get in while there is still room! We really appreciated how she carefully considers all families' needs when accepting new ones. She cares for all the children like they are her own. It is important to note, her own kids have grown up to be phenomenal human beings! We think her greatest talent is developing unique long-lasting bonds with each child while maintaining a consistent, organized, respectful, safe and comfortable environment for kids of all ages. How Judy runs her dayhome is the perfect example of "kind and firm". She always has your back and she doesn't put up with anybody's nonsense! She is quick with a smile and a hug, and facilitates an encouraging and cooperative structure with the kids, like you would expect from school. Her strengths are beyond experience - her positive outlook on life and her knack with kids is just in her God given gift. And Judy's rapport with us adults is pretty awesome, too. She's one smart cookie, always looking to understand your concerns, provides valuable feedback and ideas, has a great sense of humour and always ready with encouraging words. It's also assuring that she is well respected and has strong relationships with the community and local schools. As a parent, she is better than the most favorite teacher you ever had that forever changed your life for the better. I wish I had grown up in her house! Just sayin' We feel very blessed and fortunate that Judy had an opening at her dayhome for our kids. Our confidence in her as never wavered and she will always be family to us.

Both of my kids were with Judy for years - right from when they were babies! Sadly, we moved to the other end of the city and are no longer there, but if there was any way possible we would still be at Judy's. Judy is not only extremely loving and kind, but she seems to have eyes in the back of her head! She knows what the kids are up to at all times and resolves any problems that arise appropriately through discussion with the children. Further, Judy prepares home cooked meals and offers fresh fruit and veggies each day, and my kids often liked her cooking better than mine!! Judy's concept is that the kids at her dayhome are like one big family and she truly shows love for each and every child. I don't know how Judy does it, but no matter when you see her - early morning or at the end of a long day - she always greets you with a smile! Judy also goes out of her way to celebrate special occasions with all of the kids together, and the kids often have opportunities to make special crafts! Fun!!! If you are lucky enough to get a spot at Judy's dayhome you should take it! You won't find another dayhome or dayhome provider as amazing as this!! My kids are still sad they can't be there, and we are too! They truly love Judy!

My child has been going to Judy's since he was a baby. She cares deeply for all children and there families, going out of her way to make sure each child feels safe. Her values match very well with our families and I was immediately draw to her kindness. She offers a variety of meals and snacks and takes into account any diet restriction. Judy is extremely accommodating with my early hours of work. She always provides a great amount of time when vacation will be taken to allow for other arrangements to be made. I would definitely recommend Judy to anyone looking for childcare.

Absolutely fantastic! My little one has been in Judy's care for almost 3 years, and it was the best decision I ever made! My daughter loves being there, and has learned so much from being in Judy's care: kindness, sharing and great manners. Judy does a wonderful job in giving the children opportunities to play and learn. She has toys that the kids can play and interact with that are constantly rotated. Judy does craft activities all the time, and provides the little ones with tattoos and stickers that they love! Each day, my daughter comes home to show me the new tattoo she has on her arm! When it is warm out, the kids get to play outdoors in Judy's play yard. They love using chalk to draw, have a picnic outside on the table, and more outdoor toys to play with! Judy also takes them out for walks, and has even has the Calgary Public Library truck come to her home so that the kids can listen to read alouds while interacting inside the van! From the moment I drop off my daughter to the minute I pick her up, I truly feel she is in good hands. I promise you will too! I highly recommend Day home with Judy! She is forever a part of my family :-)
