The past few days have been really frustrating, what with all the problems going on during Christmas time. However, I have felt like the staff's response has been the best it could be in a situation like this. I talked with a few of them and they have been literally working around the clock for the past few days trying to fix the problems. They sent us email updates to keep us in the loop and let us know they were trying their best to fix things. What happened can happen in any building when it gets cold, and while I was really upset at first, I realized that its the holidays for everyone, including the staff, and no one wanted this to happen. I really appreciate all the patience I was shown with my questions even though they were frantic trying to solve things.

Worst building management in the entire city, province, and possibly the whole country. they completely ruined the holidays for all their tenants, with no power, heat, water, or working elevators from December 23, with still no clear return date provided (all tenants will also have their New Years ruined) and even worse, they are not covering hotel expenses for all the now homeless tenants (all during minus 30 weather) and they still have the audacity to charge everyone full rent. Also not allowing residents to come into retrieve their belongings. Complete joke, horrible management, cannot believe something like this can happen in this country. This is a complete injustice against all their tenants and they will not get away with this. Never rent here. Look up westview in google and you’ll see the dozens of news articles regarding this chaotic nightmare. This management does not deserve to continue operating, they must take full responsibility.

I do not recommend living here! In my these first couple months living here I have had to deal with: - A half day notice as to what time I could move in. - Paint being splattered all over the new floors (guess who got to clean this?). - My rooms heating being broken so it is +30C with all the windows open in the middle of winter. - My room being flooded due to a maintenance mistake. - The water being turned off at least 3 or 4 times. - The parkade levels flooding making the parkade and elevators unusable. - The water and power going off during christmas. In addition to this the management office has horrible communication. Apparently the leasing office has no clue how to answer and phone and will often ghost you for days at a time or never get back to you at all. If I could give a 0 star review I would. Management has clearly prioritized trying to make the rooms look decent as opposed to spending the money on improving the clearly aged and decrepit infrastructure or hiring competent staff.

Have moved in one month, and cut of the utilities twice. Currently, No heat, water or power over Christmas. Irresponsible response and want all tenants call insurance for claiming for the expenses. Don’t have a plan to reimburse the expenses for eating while evacuation. Just know the evacuation from the firefighters. The landlord don’t send any email about mandatory evacuation. Right now, we need to spend money for buying the personal stuffs while evacuation. Moreover, don’t know the definite time for coming back the suite. It hard to reach the floor 35 to get the personal stuffs because the stairwells are covered ice and it is very dangerous to come there. There is no reliable communication with the property managers. Don’t recommend for renting this place.

No heat, water or power over Christmas. And then the building was put under a mandatory evacuation, but the landlord didn’t communicate that effectively so I didn’t find out until 12 hours later when I called the maintenance team and they were surprised I hadn’t left already. The stairwells are covered in ice, making evacuating a hazard. And there’s no reliable communication with the property managers. Don’t rent here: this property clearly prioritized surface aesthetics over structural maintenance.

I’ve lived in this building for over a year. In that year there has been almost a dozen fire alarms many happening in the middle of the night. Just as many water shutoffs that last a day or two and also come suddenly with no warning. Management is super unhelpful. Now the building had so many critical failures we lost water, the elevators broke down, we lost power. They evacuated the building and sent us to hotels which they initially paid for. Then they decided to stop paying for the hotel rooms before the repairs to the building were complete. So everyone who lives there has lost a fridges worth of food, and now has to pay out of our own pockets BOTH RENT AND THE HOTELS. BUYER BEWARE DONT EVER RENT FROM THESE CROOKS.

No heat, hot water and regular flooding are a regular occurrence for this building. And it's all closely rivaled by the building managements' consistent and epic lack of communication. I'm in a hotel room with not one update as to when we'll be able to go home. They were supposed to send out an email to warn us of the evacuation and all I got was someone with a key trying to enter my apartment just as I got out of the shower that we were evacuating. They made arraignments with hotels and emergency services but not one email to me the tenant to prepare. No confidence in anything they have to offer.

Honestly, the only decent person there is the cleaning lady, everyone management, security are horrible, after the whole incident with the flood, they are entering units without a 24 hr notice, people lost money because of that(Somebody stole from their units), they don't make any effort into looking who has stolen the items, they mistreat you, Gabriela is a horrible lady as I've seen her yell at other tenants for wanting to grab their belongings, I could go on for hours, NEVER RENT HERE. I will complete my lease and leave, as they just say " If you're not happy Move" Well it's not that easy, it takes days of packing, money and a lot of effort, and they clearly don't understand that, and of course they will not pay for your moving so... Don't rent here, save yourself so much stress and money. I asked them to lower my rent, as they have broken the law and a bunch of the clauses in the Alberta tenant and landlord act, hoping I could get a decent response, they just simply said, it is in the agreement, and can't do that. In normal circumstances I would have never asked for that, but this time, I as many, we lost hundreds of dollars in the whole problem with the floor, search it up on google Westview Heights no longer paying tenants for their stay, etc. So much information on how horrible Mayflower management and Westview heights building is. Again I repeat, do yourself a favour and don't rent here.
