To all haters here. Please do not consider those ratings below. Come on guys, if you want to live in a nice apartment then of course construction is a must. I live in this building for few years and Boardwalk have done such a fantastic job with renovating lobby, hallways, gym etc. People should start appreciating things not only complain. They had an issue with changing staff but that was about a year ago. The 2 new managers Harry and Eldonna are super friendly and very helpful, greeting and asking if everything is ok every time they see me. Fresh coffee in the lobby everyday! Which company will do that for you every morning! Little things but they mean a lot! Which rental office is open 7 days a week? The best customer service in a building I have ever lived in. 5 stars with no doubt!

Indisputably the worst management I've ever dealt with in my entire life. Starting from the first week of moving in. They lost our first rent payment, sent us a default letter under our door, Awesome! One month later they lost our direct deposit info and didn't charge us; another default letter under our door, Awesome! Then they send us another letter two months later saying we've defaulted twice and should sign up for direct deposit, Awesome! After this we had assurances from Ashley who would "fix all our problems" and get rid of this management black mark on our record. But one month later we get the same default letter, Awesome! So then I moaned and groaned to finally get them to write a letter acknowledging their mistakes, took two weeks, multiple calls and talks with fix all our problems Ashley. But when it came time for rent renewal what do we find? Oh that default notice is still on our record, Awesome! Now onto other issues; they turn off water perpetually, the elevator is turned off at least twice a week and they were under construction for 4 months and did nothing to compensate anyone for the immense inconvenience of them getting a fancier office. Oh they also had a major flood above us which damaged our floors and caused a visible mold infestation, which they told us wasn't mold, just some other spotted black dots that grow in a water environment, right? Anyways took a month of fighting with them to fix the floor while me and my girlfriend were developing rashes. Long story short, there are some trash bins out back that would provide a more comfortable living experience and an unfriendly pack of Canada geese living down the street that would provide better costumer service. I lived here for 11 months. There are few things people want to live here should know. First three months, fire alarm thing happened every week. Nothing actually happened. Then the elevator is not working. In the fifth months, I washed my clothes in the laundry room. My clothes were be stolen. Today, someone broke my car's windows. Nothing was be stolen. But it makes me unsafe to park here. People need a key to get in. How come that broken thing still happen? Office people is nice. He helps me to clean and put cover on my window. People want to live here that really need to think about. Is it the safe and nice home to live ? I do have question mark here?

Lived there over 2 years.. never had any issues. Spacious living rooms and bedrooms with great shared patio that have BBQ’s which was great for summer. Gym and squash courts were great bonus. Maintenance was always quick to fix any problems and Aldona in the office was fantastic! Some construction but the water shut offs were during working hours so never affected me and there was security on site after hours

I lived at Chateau for a year and I loved living in this building! The modern units were a great size and you couldn't ever really hear neighbours at all from my experience. The management team was one of the highlights of the building! They are all amazing, always very professional and friendly (specifically Scott Kerr!!). I would definitely recommend living here!

No matter how happy you feel at the beginning when you move to this building, after a while you will notice the some major problems this building has and then you pray for your contract to expire soon so you can move out as quickly as possible. The rents are high compare to other building in this area and suits don't have that a washing machines or dryer or dishwasher. The fact that you need to share your laundry when other people using the same washing machine and most of the time the machines left dirty for the next person to use and it is sometimes disgusting. Major insulating issues on all floor and inside suits. During the cold winter you may have to buy extra heater to warm up your suite. The windows aren't insulated properly and you would notice the wind every time there is a windstorm in the city. There are several never ending pipe repairs during each year and water shut off happens every month however the problem never goes away. And the biggest issue which for the past couple of months keeps happing is the elevators. Elevators stuck and management won't take any action to repair them. Every week one elevator is down and the maintenance unable to repair it. It takes ages for people to get in and to get out on different floors for the past three months. One of these days the other working elevator may stop working and I guess people will need to use the stairs up and down all day and the management wouldn't even bother to start repairing these damn elevators correctly. People need to think twice before move into this building.

I really wanted my first renting experience to be positive I feel there is a few things people should know before choosing to rent here. The building itself it poorly insulated, and the heating system they have barely works. During the winter I had purchased two heaters and the summer had 4-5 fans going just to regulate air. Security is a HUGE issue in this building. Often times when taking the stairs down to the parkade (at any time of the day) I ran into many homeless people shooting up in the stairwell as well as in the physical parkade. My car was broken into a few months ago and the they caused over a thousand in damages. I didn’t feel comfortable parking in that space anymore, and asked to see camera footage from the lot. I was met with a no unless I file a police report, and that the cameras aren’t actually accessible by anybody in the building- only head office. Was also never given a card again to access the laundry room after this incident happened. The worst part of all of this was the moving out process. The current building manager made it extremely difficult. Made me change the move-out date I requested 3 different times, ultimately deciding to move out before the end of the month despite paying for a full last months worth of rent. He had to be notified 3 different times about booking an elevator. He also continuously tried booking showings of the suite during the time slot I had to move-out. He also attempted to book a final inspection at 11am, when the time I had allotted to move-out was the same day from 9:30-12:30pm, my guess would be to find that something was cleaned properly in order to keep the deposit. Despite how nice the physical unit was, I cannot recommend this building to anyone simply for how it was managed, it never actually felt like home.

After 7 years living downtown this has been far and away the worst apartment building I've lived in. Even though, it's still up there price wise. An endless list of issues here and coupled with staff that don't care what so ever; I've been having heating issues the last few months where the heat is on 24/7 despite it being in the summer months. Typically my apartment reads 30 plus degrees. Their solution is stop following up to my emails about wanting to leave if this issue isn't resolved. Very professional. Elevators are a constant issue. Typically one is down and out of service so expect long waits or taking the stairs. Even with only one functioning elevator the office will go ahead and reserve the only functioning elevator for a tenant moving.......horrible. The Elevators need to be addressed. They're also so loud they can be heard from inside your unit and in some cases the bedrooms based on your configuration. Security is one of the biggest issues here and should be the highest priority downtown. The building is not secure so expect to see vagrants in the stairwells, lobby etc There's pretty much a shanty town of homeless at the side of the building. Expect to see nothing but needles when you leave out your recycling. They're too cheap to pay for security to monitor constantly. I could go on and on about the issues - The laundry machine damaging clothes, the paper thin walls, the poorly maintained units, the disregarded gym and patio area Rhey really have to step up mainteance and put their hand in their pocket to resolve some of these issues. Long story short. Avoid at all costs.
