Weldrick Animal Hospital

I recently adopted a cat who had never been to the vet. I did my research and decided to go with Weldrick Animal hospital. I was very happy with the level of care they showed my cat as well as the covid safety precautions. Staff was polite, professional, and friendly. My cat was his normal self a few hours after surgery and the vet office did a follow up phone call the next day. I wouldn't say it was cheap but knowing that my cat was going to need several things done on his first visit I purchased pet insurance beforehand.

My friend recommended me to Dr. Darily's clinic for a dental scaling. Our original vet quoted $700 for scaling and anesthesia only (not including extraction.), so we were looking for alternatives. We've always known our rescue pup's oral hygiene was poor, so we were expecting the bill to be around $1,000 (17lb small bichon frise). We were really pleased by how professional the doctor and team were, and were very glad that the vet tech gave us a call first to ensure we were in agreement with the extractions based on the situation of our pup (stage 3 periodontitis). I really appreciated that personal touch, because the team was patient with answering all my questions; putting my mind at ease. In the end, the bill came up to be a little bit over $800 along with medication and a post surgery follow-up which was better than I had expected. Our pup recovered in no time and healed quite well with no complications. All that to say, I will most certainly be recommending this clinic to all my friends even if it was a bit of a drive from where I lived.

Great service!! My little 8 month old pomchi got spayed and they really are professional with their work. Our puppy’s operation was successful and we 10/10 recommend coming to this animal hospital!!!

I HATE TO RATE THIS WHAT I AM, BUT IT IS COMPLETELY DESERVED. I bring my two cats to this location, basically only because it is closer to where I live - and I have always been treated nicely by the staff. However I am extremely and utterly disappointed in this location. One of my cats was booked months ago, for a appointment in November for updated shots etc. They assured me that day when booking the appointment, that they would for sure be re opened (after being closed for months for unknown reasons) on time to see my cat for her appointment. Here we are, tomorrow is December 1st and MY CAT STILL HAS NOT BEEN SEEN. I have called this location numerous times within the last month assuming they have to be opened by now... WRONG - NO ANSWER. I have left messages, no response. I have called the Richmond Hill Animal hospital more than once this month (bless their souls) and even got them to reach out to the Weldrick Animal Hospital on my behalf through email to request my cats files so at least the Richmond Hill Animal Hospital could see what shots my cat is in need of. NO RESPONSE. I just called the Richmond Hill Animal hospital again today to see if the Weldrick Animal hospital had finally sent over my cats files to them.... NOPE. What does one do in a situation like this? How irresponsible and unprofessional of the Weldrick Animal Hospital. As a pet owner, it is so important to keep up with your pets health and needs but thats nearly impossible to do when your vet who you thought you could rely on, wont even do you the honour or retuning a simple call or email to send over files. WHEN ARE YOU RE OPENING? ARE YOU EVEN RE OPENING? You should have set your patients up for success and help prior to leaving them in the dark.

I would rate this zero stars if I could. This review has nothing to do with the vet techs that work here, but rather the veterinarian that runs this clinic. I contacted them in the spring of this year to book dental surgery (full mouth extraction) for my cat. I was told to call back since they were catching up on previous clients and couldn't book me at the time. Weeks go by and I call back only to find out that the clinic is going to be closed for four months due to the vet going on leave. The vet tech I spoke to told me that they would be open November 1 and booked me in for November 19. November 1 comes around and they still aren't open. I left two voice mails in the course of two weeks, both of which went unanswered. It was only today, November 17, that I received a text message from Dr. Dariy telling me that they will not be able to do the surgery as they are still not open but he hopes they are open "sometime in November". The fact that they could not even call me to tell me this, and wait two days before the appointment date is very unprofessional and astounds me. I spent four months thinking that this clinic would be open when they said they would be, booked time off work for this procedure, only to be told at the last minute that it was cancelled; meanwhile my cat's health has gotten worse. There is no date for the clinic reopening and I highly doubt that they will be open this month, or even the next. This is a vet that does not seem to care about his clients or their pets and lacks professionalism and compassion. I would not recommend this vet to anyone.

They treat my 3 cats with the utmost care. The staff (Admins and Vet) are excellent. They have full facilities to perform X-rays, ultrasounds, surgeries and dental cleanings. I love that they do everything in-house, and charge half the price of Toronto vets. They’re truly amazing.

This place is absolutely fantastic. They handled my time sensitive case with the utmost care and professionalism. I had a flight booked with my dog and in order to accommodate us and get all the paperwork done in time they stayed an hour and a half over their closing time to help me translate and get everything done just right. My dog also had to undergo a massive dental surgery to have all of her teeth removed before the flight to prevent the infection from spreading to the bones of the jaw and also be able to get the health certificate for the travel and they could not have been more gentle and sensitive in handling the procedure. Both the vet and the technician have fabulous attitudes and go above and beyond to deliver the best service and I definitely recommend this place to anyone who genuinely care about the well being of their pets. I drove in from Burlington to bring my 4 year old mini Australian in for a dental cleaning. The whole team was incredible to work with. The vet went over all the details so I was well informed and the rest of the team was very responsive via email and over the phone and made booking and keeping me updated a breeze. They took good care of my sweet pup , pricing was amazing and check out those sparkly white teeth! Will certainly be coming back here for any further dental work that she may need.
