Our Story
After completing a 5-year watchmaker apprenticeship in 1954, and then opening a watch service store in New Zealand, David, together with his wife Della and 4 young children, immigrated to Australia where David became the Assistant Plant Manager at Timex.
David was soon offered the General Manager position for Timex Canada, which he accepted and moved his family again to Toronto, Canada in 1975.
In 1979 David and Della started their own watch service business, initially acting as the main Bulova service centre for 664 jewellery stores Canada-wide.
David and Della then secured the watch and jewellery service contract for all Woodward’s stores across Western Canada and once again moved the family, this time to Vancouver, B.C., where their continued excellence quickly secured them the contract for Eaton’s stores across Canada.
A few years later, when Woodward’s was acquired by Hudson’s Bay, David and Della continued to expand the business and formed ‘On Time Service Corp.’, as it’s known today.
With their proven success, On Time Service Corp secured the Western Canada service contract with Hudson’s Bay and today operates the Watch & Jewellery Services for 30 Hudson’s Bay locations from Winnipeg, MB to Victoria, BC. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took 3 watches to Hudson Bay St Vital. Had to wait a while for the guy before me to get service but that is to be expected for a watch repair place, the work takes time .
Got leather straps for one watch and battery replaced for the other 2. Very satisfied with the service and will surely be back again

She took her time with my watches and made sure not to rush through it, which is greatly appreciated when dealing with valuables. The prices were more then reasonable and the service was amazing. Will 100% be coming back here for any repair needs I have.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ dropped off my mechanical (automatic) watch to get the crown fixed and the crystal replaced. they had to send it to a toronto facility - which is fine. however when i got it back, the toronto location apparently did not have the correct crystal so nothing was done. to make things worse, the crown's lever was detached and loose inside the case (as if they hastily put it back together after doing checks). the guy at the st vital location was kind enough to reattach it but now the mechanical movement stops after just a few seconds, and the hands stop moving. Thankfully, i received a full refund. but i used to have a fully working watch with a few damages - now it doesn't work altogether. the place might be good for battery and strap replacements but really, i wouldn't trust them with anything more complicated than that.
edit: following my review, they did contact me and offered to send the watch for repairs again - and it is now in good working condition. i'm satisfied, however i Do wish it did not have to come to me leaving a bad review to only then get the watch properly fixed. i'm hoping i would be the last customer to have this experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had my watch battery replaced. He did a great job. It is something that you cannot do on your own without special tools. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. It took very little time and no appointment was needed. The service was very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them. On a totally remand remark, he was fashionable dressed for the Bay.
