★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just had my first appointment with Dr. Flak. I have multiple issues with my eyes and she listened, explained options better then any optometrist I have seen to date, and was kind. I would give her 6 out of 5 stars if I could - I highly recommend her!

The location is fantastic, the staff were friendly and helpful, and Dr. Flak was super knowledgeable and had great recommendations for contact lenses. Looking forward to going back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited this place for an eye exam. Having had multiple eye surgeries and some chronic issues with my eyes, I always dread the time when I have to visit an optometrist/ophthalmologist. The staff was great, helping me to schedule an appointment ASAP. Dr. Flak's attitude exceeded my expectations. I normally get a perfunctory eye check, followed by "Here, order new glasses with us" (which last time were supposed to cost around 500 for lenses only). Dr. Flak was different. She realized I needed a through examination and explained some of my ongoing issues. She also gave me general advice about how to help my eyes feel less tired. Some of it - believe it or not - was new to me! Finally, she suggested some further steps I could take to alleviate some of my concerns. Honestly, I am impressed. I am still deciding on which glasses I want (progressive or regular), but the prices are reasonable, too.
Definitely recommend this optometry!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ excellent service would recommend and if you go on a monday you will have your prescription that week the optometrist is very kind and helpful with any questions asked im glad i went to this office also location is great and they keep it tidy and clean all staff are friendly willing to help you with whatever you need strongly recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came to Dr. Flak with vision problems several other optometrists were completely unable to figure out. She exceeded any/all expectations I could possibly have had. Dr. Flak dug in and took the (extra) time to do what was necessary to find the problem, then figure out how to solve it. She also explained, very clearly, pardon the pun, what was going on and how the issue was to be solved.
I cannot thank you enough for all you did to help me, Dr. Flak.
You're the best!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came in for a routine check up after moving to a new city and was left impressed and more educated. Dr. Flak answered all my questions and was very informative. To say the least I am very happy with my visit. The front desk ladies were also very nice, professional and personal.

Dr. McDougal is very professional, has a great deal of experience and he is very pleasant as are the rest of the staff here. They have modern frames to choose from and all in all I would give this office 5 STARS

I had an eye appoint me to get fitted for contact lenses with Dr. Vanessa Flak and she was absolutely amazing! very professional and really nice to talk to. She is very knowledgeable in her field and made the overall experience very pleasant.
The store itself is very nicely appointed the receptionists and supporting staff were all very kind and helpful with getting my appointment booked in and ordering contact lenses for me.
If you are close to the downtown core of Vancouver I would highly recommend giving the Vancouver Block Optometrists a visit if you need any help with your eyes, glasses or contacts
