My husband and I really enjoyed working with Ron for our custom made wedding rings. Our expectations were more than met and we just love our rings and will for the rest our lives.

I hired Hendri at "Expert" to do 5 jobs for me in the spring of 2015. I gave detailed written instructions of each piece with drawings and measurements. 2 of the pieces were shells that were supposed to be molded for the summer. Well summer came and went with no molds completed. By fall, I finally had one of the other pieces completed correctly (a small charm). Another was finished but then poorly molded (unusable). I received minimal communication and had to constantly call, email and go in to the shop to make sure any work was being done. I was sent an "invoice" with zero break down and just said i owed $1097 dollars. So I asked for a breakdown of the bill. Months fell off the calendar. Fast forward to April 2016, no more work had been completed. At this point, I was finally sent an invoice with the breakdown. They had charged me for 3 of the 5 pieces. Only 1 had been completed correctly. 1 more was made and molded but was unusable due to the fact that they didn't bother to clean the piece before molding it so it came out unusable (Amateur). They also attempted to charge me for the shells that were never completed. So after having zero respect for my time frames or completing the jobs, they demand prompt payment. They show zero respect and expect respect in return. When I returned to Vancouver after my summer travels (albeit a few months later), I went into their shop to pay the bill. In a calm manner, I attempted to discuss the bill with Ron (The owner). He knew nothing of the situation but felt he knew enough to YELL AS LOUD AS HE COULD RIGHT IN MY FACE to "pay the bill". Literally, turning bright red and shaking. I honestly thought he was either going to have a heart attack or assault me. After his irate outburst, he called his employee and figured out the bill was indeed incorrect and they still hadn't completed my molds and that they still have my shells. Clearly embarrassed, he quickly made the change on the invoice and I paid and left. Honestly, I don't know how this company is even in business with this poor customer service. You don't treat customers like that, heck you don't treat humans like that. Ron is completely unprofessional and clearly has anger issues. Ron you're a complete disgrace to the profession and honestly after seeing how angry you got over such a minimal thing (that you knew nothing about), you should probably retire before you have a heart attack. This company is so disorganized and Ron has no clue what's going on in his business. He was accusing me of not paying the bill since November when I didn't even have a break down of the bill until April. I have emails, photos, papers, messages to prove all of this and will provide to anyone who would like proof. It is a shame it had to get to this point. Maybe Ron should take a minute to figure out what's going on before he yells in people's faces. BUYER BEWARE EDIT: THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER'S (RON DAVIDSON) REPLY So two years later you decide to randomly reply? On top of that you decide to blatantly lie through your teeth? It's rather comical to me seeing you attempt to explain what happened when you literally had zero oversight or knowledge of the situation. I guess that's why you've decided to make up whatever you please. I see how it is though, the negative reviews are stacking up and you have to try to save face. Next time maybe try to make a more convincing fairy tale though. Your arrogance bleeds through your writing. It speaks volumes about your character that you'd rather slander my name than own up that you did anything wrong. I guess your ego is just too large. Shame. To set the record straight, I was not scolded by anyone nor do I have a single outstanding invoice with any business. You had better watch what you write about people Ron.

Just picked up my jewelry and it was damaged rather than repaired. They still charged me for the necklace they cleaned. And just handed back my chipped stone earring. As if not charging for the repair makes up for the damage done to the stone. Thoroughly disappointed. When I called to have it rectified he told me it was β€œmass produced jewelry” and they β€œget pieces like that all the time” that damage easily. Not sure why this wasn’t brought forward when I first brought it in if it’s an β€œall the time” concern of theirs.

Pretty much the only choice for getting ring Castings in Canada. Repairs done to a great standard and used their plating many times. They'll do some hand holding but if you are new to jewelry make sure you tell them.

The most unprofessional business encounter I've ever experienced. After 30+ emails of correspondence and 6 weeks of wasted time, they still couldn't explain why my castings were substantially larger then designed. Even after urging me to design for shrinkage, some dimensions somehow grew 50%. I strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere. Ron Davidson is extremely condescending and while completely disregarding all of my concerns, had the nerve to say "I assume you are new to jewellery" Sometimes all there is to say is OK boomer and move on

Replated and polished my necklace within 3 days of me dropping it off and it looks beautiful! Great service and affordable rates compared to others in the city!

Wow! I am blown away by the terrific service I received from Expert Casting! Jeff was so helpful in answering all of my questions, and everything turned out perfectly. From the engraving to the plating, these folks know their stuff. The experience was easy through and through and the final product is terrific. Highly Recommend.
