Positive: EV charger in the rear parking lot. Breakfast grab bag was pretty good. Negative: Room was pretty outdated and the lobby and stairwell smelled of pot and cigarette smoke.

Yeah, so… $80 is way to much for this hotel. It stinks for one. Figuratively and literally. They don’t give you basic things, like cutlery, even though they obviously have them since they give breakfast to go (which I didn’t get because I read it’s not worth it). If you happen to be in the room during their cleaning time, they say they will clean it in the evening for you but never actually do. The bathroom has mold in it and looks like it was barely cleaned. In fact, the ONLY thing that seems to be clean in this hotels (and yes I had more than one room here) are the bed sheets. Needless to say, if you’re spending that much you might as well go and spend a little more at a better hotel.

Very Cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for. They charged me an extra 10$ per guest for their "complimentary" breakfast. When we went to get our breakfast the next morning they gave us a paper bag. Inside was a small yogurt, a granola bar, and a small juice box. $10 for that!?!?! There is a Dennys sharing the parking lot, get breakfast there instead! They had no coffee, waited 30 minutes but they never filled the Carafe. Our room was gross. Food in the sheets, stains all over the ceiling, bathroom fan didn't work, the bathtub faucet wouldn't work, many more issues with the room. Wouldn't recommend, spend the extra 10$ to stay elsewhere

First room we were given has a plastic bag tied around the smoke alarm in room, makes a person who works in that industry a little uneasy. There were multiple lightbulbs burnt out in the room and crumbs all over the floor. They were good about giving a new room However….. second room had expired smoke detector, light bulbs burnt out and half eaten chocolate bars laying on the floor around the beds. One of the beds appeared to have been laid on for extended period of time with no change of sheets as the sheets were very wrinkled like they get from laying on them. Went to make a coffee in the room in morning and there was coffee pouches there but there was no coffee machine, maybe it broke and never got replaced but then why would you bother restocking the coffee supplies. Door locks had also seen better days. Overall I would never recommend staying there and highly recommend spending a few extra dollars at a nicer hotel closer to other things in town.

Its not the most updated place. But the people are super helpful, kind. Rooms are what you would expect. Practical, clean and the beds are comfy. 'To go' breakfast is surprisingly nice!

Great location, easy access, service left much to be desired - rarely anyone available to help - and the rooms were an issue. Our first room lock was broken and even the hotel master key would not open it. Our second room had dried blood on the floor. Otherwise decent value.

I read a lot of reviews before I booked here. Mostly the negative ones to see what I am getting in to. People complain thar the property is run downand dated. While that may be, the staff was nice, the room was clean, the bed was comfy and the sheets and towels were clean and good quality. It was quiet, very conveniently located off the #1. I would definitely stay here again. I felt it was a good value. I didn't have time to check out the complimentary breakfast bar. Also, you have Denny's right in the same lot, how can you not like that!

We were walking and chose the place on a cold blustery night based on it's outdoor plug-ins and proximity to a restaurant and pub. The road sign advertised free breakfast. First thing we had problems getting into the room from outside. It had a really loud heater fan set at 16 so the room was chilly and we needed to turn it up. We walked over to the nearby pub for supper and when we returned our key for the inside door wouldn't work at all. The girl had a struggle to let us in with a master key. When we finally got in to the room the heater was still roaring and much warmer than the 21° we'd set it to. We weren't going to be able to sleep with the roar. Turned it off but then the room cooled off so I had to turn it on an hour later. Wow! The roar of the fan was twice as loud. And that's what we tried to sleep through. In the morning we discovered that the in-room coffee was gross so one of us went to the lobby for the advertised breakfast. There was nothing. The breakfast room was there but there wasn't even coffee. So out we went to the restaurant across the parking lot. I told the woman at the front desk about the door lock and heater. She seemed annoyed to put down her personal phone call and practically cut me off to get back to her call. So it wasn't altogether a pleasant experience for us. The weather may have played a factor but I shouldn't think -35 is uncommon in Brooks, AB.
