My daughter went to trade secrets to get her upper lip hair removal. They burnt her upper lip by using wax that was too hot. It has been two days and she still has a burn / scar. We called them and they didn't bother to assist us with the healing process. They said they will call us back and they haven't called back either. Save your life and just run away from this place. Shame on Trade Secrets!

My rating is the highest ever as it's based on the interaction I had with the Manager at this location, her name is Shanaz.....I had purchased an aerosol hair product which after being used 3 times, the nozzle was no longer functional, I tried removing it and cleaning it but still didn't work unfortunately, I called to speak to the Manager and she listened to my issue and offered a great solution, went over and above in my opinion to resolve my issue....thank you Shanaz....

Went in this morning to have my hair curled. It was $45.00 for a 20 minute job, with no heat protector spray and no hold added. I touched it up added hair spray myself when I got home. I should have just done it myself.

Good thing I did my research on flat irons before heading into this location. The sales associate who was saw me looking at the flat irons immediately suggested I buy the most expensive flat iron on the shelf while suggesting “it’s really good” and didn’t provide me with any benefits or features of the product. I didn’t feel like the associate took the time to get to know exactly what I was looking for. Coming from a retail background, the store would benefit from better training of their sales staff including educating their staff on the products they sell. I did end up buying a flat iron but the sales experience was not the best.

I went to do my eyebrows and my brows have never looked worse in my life and there was a time a lady had given me sperm eyebrows the day before a wedding. Anna who did my eyebrows made them so thin to a point where one single hair was connecting the arch. They also do not allow refunds. I would please urge everyone to not visit this location especially to get your eye brows done by Anna. Anna herself has sperm eye brows thus I should have known this would have been the outcome. I would give this a zero if i had the option to. Again would 100% not recommend. You are better off going literally anywhere else.

Will never go into this place after they lied to my husband and said he would be able to return a hairdryer if I didn't like it. He went back to return it, and was told, rudely, that they don't take back hairdryers. He would never have bought it if that was the case. That's why he asked for confirmation.

I would give this store less than 1 star if I could. It doesn’t surprise me that they have a 2 star rating. I purchased a product here that I LOVE and use all the time. I usually purchase it from Sephora and have never had an issue. Sephora was sold out and I was really happy when I found the last one here. Because I use the product all the time I didn’t think I needed the receipt anymore. When I went to open the product a week later to use it the colour was completely off it wasn’t the usual cocoa brown I’m used to but grey. I didn’t feel comfortable using it on my hair. I called and let them know that I didn’t have a receipt and asked if I could still return it after explaining the situation. I told her I was driving far so wanted to be sure. I was VERY clear in what I said. The lady said I couldn’t get my money back but get an in store credit. So I told her that was fair and I was on my way. After a long drive (I’m not close to sherway), I arrived and let them know I spoke to someone on the phone and would like to make the return. They said I need a receipt. I explained I called and spoke to someone and that’s why I just drove 45 minutes. They proceeded to tell me they couldn’t return the item, called me a liar, laughed and yelled at me. I left the store in tears. Literally just wanted a store credit for a product that couldn’t be used. They told me of their policies which was fair and I would’ve been fine with it if that’s what was explained to me on the phone. Honestly disgusting behaviour and horrible customer service. Farva (“the manager”) and Kianna should be ashamed. I have no reason to lie and drive 45 minutes…just a waste of my valuable time. If this business doesn’t do something about their staff and customer service not sure if they will survive the pandemic. Especially with carol baker across the way offering superior customer service.

I went to Trade secrets in Sherway gardens to have my ears pierced. What a horrible experience. The lady who did the piercing was so unknowledgeable, rude and arrogant. She could not admit she made a mistake and correct it. She told me that I order to correct it she would have to charge me again!! I went across the hallway to another salon. I will never shop in this store again, never. Awful customer service.
