★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awful experience more than once at the bar. The bartender seems nice, but turns out he hates having people in the establishment. Over priced off sales, and crappy deep fried food. Along with an very unperson-able bartender/caretaker. Never again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly, we drove into Torrington expecting little to nothing. We mainly went for the gopher museum exhibit. However Bunty and Diane were occupied due to the long weekend, which was understandable. So we headed on down to the Torrington hotel for a quick drink, and ended up having the time of our lives. Al, the bartender was friendly, spectacular and overall a genuine family man. He greeted us with a smile, free bar nuts and gave us bottomless house wine. He even let us choose what music we wanted to play over the stereo system, and danced with us. He encouraged us to play endless pool games (even though we're terrible) and gave us all the free snacks.
We've never felt so genuinely welcome, and like a bar we visited for the first time was our second home. He ensured we had the best time in the 3 hours we stayed, and even offered to set us up with a hotel room if we desired, that would be ready at the drop of a hat.
We would highly recommend this bar, and Al is right where he belongs in this part of Alberta!

The fact that they're still open and managed to survive the covid scam demic earns them 3 stars without entering.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On a road trip but had to pee so stopped for a quick beer and snack. Kitchen wasn't open apparently so the only option was chips. Paid top dollar for skunky beer, the dude was rude, not worth the stop
