I have been here before and was pleased with the value and quality of the food - hence the two stars. But it stops there. At our most recent visit, we looked at ordering the sushi party set. There are two options: regular and deluxe, but no further details on each. Before ordering, we asked the waitress the difference between the two. She didn’t give much detail, but pushed and kept recommending the deluxe version. When it came out, we were very disappointed. At a $75 price point, there was definitely nothing deluxe about the plate. It looked more like what you would get at an all-you-can-eat type place. Salmon rolls and such. It literally would have been cheaper (and significantly so) if you ordered each thing separately. No fancy specials, not even sashimi!!, nothing. Very disappointed.

Great bento box selection. The batter was a little thick and the yakitori didn't have a lot of flavour aside from the sauce drizzled on top. However, the sashimi is really good.

We were just passing by and i saw a Man in front while we were deciding where to go eat and i asked the Man would you recommend this one or this one as i pointed, he said he been goin there for years and it was very tasty n consistent. I believed him. I went inside we ordered Udon noodle soup with Chicken and beef (extra) plus a spicy salmon roll! I was so happy first bite and sip of the soup and we were sitting right there in Japan. Very tasty, warm and she gave us a hot tea just before. I recommend that place also. Very happy about this new discovery as i am new in Toronto. We will be back for sure. Very good service fast and agreable.

My go to sushi place in downtown! One of the freshest/higher quality sashimi and seafoods around this area. Reasonable prices given the superb quality. Both the chirashi and kaisen dons are delicious! Highly recommend! ?

My friend really likes this kind of japanese dish so we tried it. As you can see it has all kinds of seafood. But when you are ordering a 26$ menu. It doesnt really make sense to see imitation crab on the dish. It would have been better if they did not put it at all. The overall fish was great but the color of the uni was a bit brown for me.

What I ordered?? ?Sushi combo Lunch A: California roll, salmon roll, and spicy tuna roll ?Sashimi appetizer (but with only salmon and tuna, no whitefish) Everything was delicious - The rolls were a perfect size with more filling than rice. Sashimi was sliced nice and thick and was very fresh ?? I dined solo and was seated immediately upon arriving. I was given the private booth at the back of the restaurant where I could eat in peace ? As soon as I was seated the waitress immediately served me hot green tea. When she took my order, my food came within minutes and the waitress even popped in again to refill my tea, which was nice. My reasoning for only giving 4/5 stars was the fact that I ALWAYS order lots of xtra ginger and I’ve never been charged for it, so when I saw on the menu that there was an extra fee, that was a bit of a turnoff. It’s like charging for extra wet naps at a Rib/steakhouse… That just seems odd to me, and kind of cheap! ? I’m also only giving 4 stars because my bill came to a whopping $36 after tax and tip ! Which seems a little steep for basic California and salmon rolls. But despite that, it was yummy ? I’ll be back to try the Donburi!

Objective review: This is a very neat restaurant with impeccable hygiene. Service is friendly and professional Unfortunately, the food I received was a major let down after the bright first impression. Sushi pizza was quite expensive. It was definitely overcooked and soaked in grease which tells me the deep fry oil was not changed for a while. There was no separating layer between salmon on top and the patty on the bottom, which resulted in the patty getting cold and salmon warming up early. I also ordered the green tea cheese cake, which costed more than an average price for a slice, yet the actual serving size was quite small, approximately half of what you'd expect. Maybe it was my luck, but after such a major let down, I think I'll be lunching elsewhere next time I am in the area. But hey, maybe the all-you-can-eat option is good!
