This mom and pop Japanese restaurant is to die for. Very good curry, and Bento boxes at a reasonable price. I loved everything in the Bento, and I'm not usually a sashimi person!

I forgot I had been here 3 years ago, but I remember the food was so good. The croquettes. Oouu the croquettes. Today I got the don katsu dinner, with an order of spicy salmon rolls. They did not fail me, let's just say that. It was so good. The staff were also very welcoming and really took good care of me while I was there. I wish I got their names, but if any of you guys see this I want to thank you. To conclude, if anyone is looking for delicious japanese food at fair prices you should visit Tokyo Kitchen ^^

Best place in town! Friendly service, fast and reliable. Fantastic home-made Japanese flavour! Super rich flavour dashi, so very good miso soup and udon soup!

Haven’t been here for a while but I’m surprised by their consistency in preparing decent Japanese food. I tried Ten-don this time and it’s very tasty. The batter was not too thick and I don’t feel a tiny bit of oily. Definitely recommended and I’m looking to explore the menu more.

Went here with great anticipation for the salmon scallop and Okura dons (62 dollars total including tax and tip) First of all, the presentation was great and the ikura was exceptional. However, I was disappointed to see how thin each salmon sashimi was! The dons were not as satiating unfortunately. The rice was, frankly, quite bad. I think it was suppose to be sushi rice, but the flavor was quite bland and the rice was mushy and barely had any individual integrity to it. The texture did not complement the thin sashimi and was unpleasant to eat. Secondly, it was such a shame to receive such a cheap, low-quality wasabi packet. I think wasabi is a very important component of this dish, so it was very disappointing to have to eat it with such bad wasabi. The scallop was fresh, but also not as big or thick as it looked on the photo. This could be due to the recent inflation due to the pandemic, but it really did not hit the expectations I had.

The food was amazing and it is truly value for money. The ambience eas very cozy and casual. My only suggestion would be if the staff could be just a bit better with English, it would make reservation and ordering process easier. We ordered the dango for dessert which was so unique and tasty, i would recommend it. The staff is very polite and very accommodating of all dietary preferences and restrictions.

Stumbled across the cutest little Japanese restaurant with very reasonable pricing and sizes. The attention to details in both the restaurant and menu items were identifiable. Would love to come back to try their other items. Pictured here: Scallop & Salmon Don

Home style Japanese cooking that fills you up! The portions were quite generous. The takoyaki was not as flavourful as I was expecting, however, this is a great place if you're looking to get a quick bite to eat.
