I attended 26 sessions. I spent over $1,200 dollars over the course of 8 months for Electrolysis hair removal under my arms. I have stopped treatments because the employee was PLUCKING hair. I made the time to attend appointments regularly but instead of treating the area; she PLUCKED hair claiming β€œingrown” or β€œdry skin.” When I expressed my concerns (more than once), I was told "everyone reacts different to treatments." NONSENSE.

I am a black female who has struggled with unwanted hair on my chin. Since I started seeing Victoria my results have been amazing. I no longer have to pluck or shave and I feel much more confident. She is professional, efficient and has flexible hours to accommodate your schedule. Thanks Victoria!!

The service is always professional and top notch. The prices are extremely reasonable and the reason that I have had such great results with the electrolysis is that Victoria caters her services to my skin type. People compliment me on my skin all the time! I plan to continue until I reach my ideal skin type and I have no doubt that I will reach it with Advanced Institute.

I like Dana personally and it's hard for me to write a bad review. But after what she did to my face I have no choice. After my last session with her, my face was so badly wounded that I couldn't go out for a few days. The wounds left marks and scars that I don't think will ever go away. I am not new to electrolysis and this had never happened before, even at previous sessions with her. I will never go back again, but my suggestion would be, if for any reason you don't feel like working, maybe you are sick! or anything please just don't! You damage people's skins permanently. Also, if she comes late she will still charge you for the full time of your appointment. There was one time that she came 10 minutes late and had to finish my work quickly because of the next customer ( which is fine!). But I expected her not to charge me for 30 minutes and she did. I shouldn't have been so shy and should've told her so. But I couldn't and felt so ripped off when I left.

As a transgender woman, I was treated respectfully and professionally. When I was initially trying to find a clinic I was very fearful that most places would lack the privacy I needed, or a welcoming environment, because I wasn't out to anyone (non-medical) yet. Victoria's many years of work in the field and clearly-stated experience with trans clientele was unusual to find. The small-office atmosphere, rather than a busy open salon, gave me the courage to start the lengthy and difficult process of permanently removing my facial hair. Victoria's commitment to her work is so strong that she offers early morning to late night availability, seven days a week, and even on most holidays. To a trans client this is extremely important in being able to access the frequent, and thorough treatment regime required. Without this I could never have fit it in around my widely varying work schedule. Victoria does her best to communicate and schedule with all her regular clients in order to keep large-enough blocks of time available for her trans clients, as in the three-hour sessions I need every week. She is also able to provide numbing cream, if desired, which is especially appreciated on the face. I can't imagine there is any other service provider in this city who could consistently offer this level of support and dedication. Rates are competitive and fair, especially considering Victoria has an actual medical/pharmaceutical background in addition to her vast electrolysis experience, something you're unlikely to find in most so-called electrolysis "technicians". The Advanced Institute Of Electrolysis is conveniently located in Downtown Toronto within short walking or bus distance of multiple subway stations, subways, by the way, that I travel in with a new-found peace in my appearance and no worries of odd looks from the public. The treatment I've received has completely changed my life by allowing me to confidently present in my new gender without fear of offending anyone, and in most cases to be seen as a woman without question. It has also dramatically improved the condition of my skin, as I suffered constant problems with skin irritation and ingrown hairs in my past life of daily shaving and coarse beard growth. If you are as committed to your treatment and transition as Victoria is, you'll get out of it what you need.

Victoria is a genius with the electrolysis needle. She will accommodate your sensitivity levels, and works quickly and gently. I have been surprised at how manageable the process is. I've been seeing Victoria for two years and am delighted with the results. This is not a high-end, deluxe business, but it is always perfectly clean and pleasant, and you will not find better value for your money. Victoria is also able to work with difficult schedules, and has seen me evenings, weekends, and early moorings. Highly recommended! I almost forgot to mention the creams & lotions. Love the cleanser!!! leaves my skin soft & smells so good. I use the toner too. Bought the dream moisturizer for my mom, and she loves it. I'm looking forward to trying the body lotion soon!

Amazing results!! I have been getting electrolysis done from victoria and the thick, dark facial hair are almost gone.My face has become more clearer and glowing. Prices are cheap with visible results. They are really great at what they do. They have many other amazing services and they are always happy to explain & show everything. I have read good reviews about their victory skincare line and cant wait to try it as victoria is a former pharmacist and has vast knowledge about various ingredients and how they work. The atmosphere at the clinic is very comfortable and positive. I highly recommend this place. ??

I have been going to the Advanced Institute of Electrolysis and Laser for over a year now. I have seen great results with electrolysis. A year later - I have very little hair left under my arms and on my face. I plan on getting more areas of my body done. Their prices are affordable and their flexible hours are great! Their skin products (the Victory line) are fantastic. Victoria is a former pharmacist and I have seen a huge difference in my skin since I started using her products, including the brightening cream. I have worked with both Victoria and Dana. They are both very experienced technicians who understand what they are doing and how to best get you results. If you have any questions - you can ask them. They will explain how hair grows in cycles and the rest of the science behind achieving permanent hair loss through electrolysis. I have problems with ingrown hairs and they always dig them out for me - I have never had any scarring which is amazing. They know what they are doing! I can't recommend the Advanced Institute enough! I think that some of the other commenters need to read up about how electrolysis works - it does not give you instant results. It takes time and commitment. Hair grows in cycles and multiple hair follicle grow in one spot. But if you put in the time and have excellent technicians like Dana and Victoria, you will see great permanent results just like I have!
