★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They were semi helpful with the passing of my dog. Rushed her to vet asap as they’re listed as an emergency vet, told the receptionist my dog was unresponsive but still had a heartbeat and needed help immidiatly, she didn’t act very quickly but the vet who we met after was very polite of her passing giving us time to say our goodbyes as she passed on right as they took her in, and offered us cremation services.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some of the most compassionate people you will ever meet. We brought our cat to the the Thunder Bay Veterinary Hospital when he wasn't eating. Unfortunately he was at a stage that there wasn't anything that could be done to save him, but they made him comfortable and helped us have some extra time with him. All the staff at the facility were extremely kind and helpful and you could tell their compassion for the pets was real.
I would recommend this practice without hesitation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had to bring my dog Cyrus here too say goodbye. One of the hardest days of my life. The staff here offered so much love and compassion. Everyone at this clinic made a difficult time as bearable as could be. Based on my recent experience I have trouble believing the negative reviews for this clinic. I was not a client and they did not hesitate too help me. The kindness, understanding and support they offered was unexpected. Thank you so so very much! The card you sent me was beautiful and personal. Also made me cry. I cried alot through this whole experience and everyone here gave me the support I never thought too get but absolutely needed. I can't say thank you enough! This will be my vet clinic of choice, not just because of my experience but also too give them business in an effort to express my gratitude. Forever grateful!
Update... Brought my puppy here for is 12 week shots. Dr.Sanzo is awesome! The staff here are amazing. Appreciate you all so very much! Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My rabbit had an eye injury and though they arent accepting new patients at this time they were very kind and able to give me the number of a virtual vet that I could video call to get him treatment. Without their help I dont know what I would have done. Merlin is feeling much better and on the road to recovery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're not an existing client, don't bother. I've got a cat who's experiencing all the symptoms of kidney failure and they refused to see him if I wasn't an already established client.
His health isn't improving and none of the other vets in the city will see him for the same reason. I genuinely don't understand what it is I'm supposed to do in a situation like this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have always had excellent experiences when bringing my pets to Thunder Bay Vet Hospital, and have been bringing my animals here for at least 8 years. Special thank you goes out to Dr. Stuart, Dr. Smith, Dr. Sanzo and Dr. Vander Kooi; whom have all treated my animals as if they are their own. Every staff member I have come into contact with has been knowledgeable, compassionate, and kind.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always have an amazing experience here. If anyone knows my dog they know he is super energetic and loves attention and gets a little carried away. The staff tend to make it a little easier for me to deal with when that happens. Always kind! my puppy always ends up leaving there with some sort of goodie(treat or toy). 10/10 recommend this veterinarian to anyone (once they start taking new clients). Absolutely love bring my dogs here. We usually see Dr.Pennington. She is super sweet, compassionate and goes above and beyond, I can also say the same for Dr.Sanzo!
