★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have bought a couple of ear & nose rings here over the past year. What I was sold was guaranteed genuine 14k gold, NOT gold plated. After a year of normal wear, my gold rings look silver. When i returned for some assistance and hopefully replacement, the old white man at the kiosk was VERY condescending and rude. He was adamant that it was the acid in my body causing the gold to turn silver. He refused to replace for me, and said “A gold analyzer would tell you it’s real 14k gold but I don’t have an analyzer here”. He said he couldn’t do anything to help me.
I have other 14k gold earrings that I have purchased elsewhere that despite daily wear, have NEVER discoloured. I am convinced they are selling gold plated jewelry and selling it as real 14k gold. DO NOT spend the $50 on a “real” gold hoop unless you want the cheap plating to wear off. Real 14k gold may tarnish to a darker colour, but that would be over YEARS of constant wearing. Not turn silver after just one year. I will never return here.
