A	Andre Szilvassy on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I moved in recently. The apartment is large and clean, the area in which it is located is very serene (1beaufort street). Most importantly, management & organization has been very spot on. I highly recommend the Marq for an affordable, comfy experience.
T	Ted Beingessner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst landlord I could have ever imagined. Had a 3 year lease with The MARQ and it was the longest headache of my life. We would consistently get forwarded invoices for gas charges (which were to be payed by the MARQ as per our lease) and my roommates and I would spent a good 4-5 hours on the phone and at their 75 Ann Street office every 6 months or so (tends to be the average term for any management at that location) to re-explain why were not paying the invoices they are forwarding. Generally, very disorganized, long response times, and I got the impression that the company was very cost focused. They take advantage of students assuming that they will just pay for anything you send them because they don’t want to deal with the administrative headache while studying and taking exams. Quality of the property originally appeared to be decent, but we quickly realized how cheaply built the buildings were. The walls were paper thin, I could hear any conversation in the house and often in the unit beside me, and all the furniture was flimsy and cheap. On the positive, the maintenance team was fantastic. They would come within the hour of request, were very friendly, would fix things quickly and do a good job. Overall, I would not recommend a MARQ property, and by extension anything affiliated with Centurion Apartment REIT to anyone. I am actively inquiring to all the incoming Western and Fanshawe students I know about their living situations, so I can tell them what I wish someone told me three years ago, “DO NOT sign with The MARQ.” Sincerely, Ted Beingessner

Contact Ms.Nasro if you're looking for a room here because she will assign the best room with your preference
R	Rachel Baran on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The move in staff was excellent at helping me get settled in my new place. The furniture was in excellent condition when I moved in and I was pleased with the spaciousness of the bedroom/living areas. Cost-friendly too, which is definitely a huge benefit!

It is a plus too that a bed,desk and bedside table come with it too so then you don’t need to worry about moving those aswell. When we moved in though are place was kinda a mess since we were the first to move in. It also takes a bit for maintenance to come in if it is something small like a light bulb. The area is really great for students though and its easy to make friends here! I would recommend it

Since moving into a unit at 1 Beaufort Street with The MARQ, they have done nothing but ignore our emails and send us to voicemail when we call. Our unit was recently broken into and flooded and the MARQ refused to add additional security to the window where they broke in from. It has also been a month since we emailed them about compensation for the utilities that were used by maintenance and during the flooding with no response. If you are thinking about moving into this area, DON'T. There's plenty of other privately-owned rentals that would be much more responsive and caring than this.
J	Juli Paek on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Please do not move into these properties. Our unit was recently broken into and flooded, and The MARQ was very unresponsive to our emails and phone calls. They took a couple months to simply give us a little bit of discount for the next rent, without even compensating us for the extremely high utility bills for the maintenance from the flooding. They also did not add any security measures, despite having other units broken into as well. Apart from this, other problems include their maintenance team always coming without previous notice, being very unhelpful with housemate issues (they do not lease to just students and we had serious issues with a girl that always smokes weed inside the house which The MARQ did nothing about), and pretty much just seeing students as sources of money (although they did not reply to our emails, they literally sent mails after a week of us refusing to pay the full rent amount for the month that our house got broken into). I strongly suggest to just consider other off-campus housing options.
