Masonville Yards is a lovely place to live! The location is great - right by grocery stores, Masonville, and the bus stop to get to campus. The suite is really clean and modern, and there's also great amenities. Management is easy to reach and in particular, Atharva helped me a ton throughout the entire move-in process. He made the move-in process so smooth and answered all the questions I had very clearly.

A parent here. My son & 3 friends were in the midst of signing a lease for 2021-22 when the lease was suddenly voided (in July). After 19 days & 5 agents' involvements, we were told that due to one agent's error, the rooms were already signed by another party. No apologies, no resolutions, no further contacts. Four students left without a place to live & the panic begins again with less than 4 weeks before school starts. I reached out to Gillian, who I had correspondence with when my son resided at Luxe. Then, Gillian was exceptionally responsive & had addressed concerns promptly & efficiently. I only requested for Gillian to follow up on this mistake & inquired for a resolution, but to my disappointment & surprise, no response yet (6 weeks). My message to Craft Property Management Team: Please know that your carelessness & errors have caused much stress. YOU can't be treating these kids (and others from a handful of other similar reviews) like they don't matter. Not owing up to your mistakes isn't only lacking professionalism, but it's also unacceptable & it's outrageously dishonorable to sweep your errors away. Masonville Yards may be THE place to live, but management needs to manage with integrity & top notch customer service, like you pride yourselves to have. I truly hope you will take this review to heart, examine, review & change the way you manage the students in your community.

The management at Masonville Yards is exceptional (special shout-out to Gill and Peter for always being so kind and accommodating). The management is quick to resolve any issues, should they arise. The suites are beautiful and so close to the campus, grocery stores, the mall, etc that living here also becomes very convenient, especially if you prefer walking to places. The building and the surrounding areas are very safe, clean, and well-kept. Interacting with the staff here at anytime is a delight. It was a pleasure to have called this place a home :)

I had a great experience at Masonville Yards last year and re-signed for next year without hesitation. While the amenities and units are great, what sets them apart is their service. Particularly that of Gill, who is a part of the management team for the building. She was very helpful throughout the year and very approachable whenever my roommates and I had any questions/concerns. Looking forward to September.

Really enjoyed living in the building. Great apartment for students, as the units come fully furnished. Met so many friends throughout my time at Masonville, and really enjoyed living there. Gonna miss it. Staff was also very helpful, Gill especially, was a huge help. She is always on top of things, and she significantly contributed to our overall experience while living in the building.

NOT a smoke free building.. there’s been someone smoking for weeks in their apartment and management has done nothing. As if an email is going to stop tenants from smoking. It’ll leak into your apartment, too. Good luck if you’ve got pets or health issues. —> Edit: The issue has since been resolved as the problem tenants have moved out.

We just came back from the leasing office and were advised that the leasing agent was "out for lunch". This is highly unprofessional - we had been trying to contact him through 30+ texts, messages, and calls - with no response for weeks. On the other hand, being bombarded by Craft Property management to secure a lease “before it's too late”. Furthermore, maintenance and billing has been highly unresponsive - charging us late fees on our first month’s rent although all tenants had sent up auto deposit in August. Not to mention, the various building and maintenance issue that took months for your management to solve, since September. Including unsanitary plumbing. Prior to signing a lease, we were told we could visit our suite beforehand, and we were never given that option in the summer. We were promised various amenities over the course of our communications, and have been constantly disappointed by the management’s exploitation of student tenants. The management here refuses to explain and address our concerns immediately and professionally - taking zero accountability for their ignorance and nonchalance. We will be further addressing this issue with Western University. Masonville Yards, from what we have seen, has clearly not proven to be a suitable environment for student tenants or similar to what is advertised - given their lack of communication and transparency. We are paying luxury prices without any luxury service. The company charges for everything, from wifi to $100+ parking spots. We will not be resigning with masonville yards.

I wouldn’t be writing this after a year of living here but I feel like people deserve to know how ridiculous things are in Masonville Yards. We all pay so much for amenities and non of the amenities properly work through out the school year . Firstly, the WiFi at the study room rarely works. I called the front desk to ask about the study lounge Wi-Fi after going down everyday for the pass week to find out the Wi-Fi doesn’t work and all they say is” I am not sure if the Wi-Fi is fixed yet, you can come down to check it out”. It is exam season I do not have time to check out the study room Wi-Fi everyday, just to find out it doesn’t work! Secondly, the 2 theatre rooms they provide never works. I booked it once early in the school year to do a group presentation and I had confirmed with the front desk lady to make sure it works and their response is “people have been booking in a lot recently so I assume it works “. Once I got there with my group members the audio in the theatre room doesn’t work! 2 months later, I attempted to book the theatre room again hoping they have fixed their theatre rooms. But NO, I find out last minute non of the theatre rooms are fixed. It has been 2 months and Masonville Yards management has done nothing to fix the theatre room. I get even more frustrated when it comes to Masonville Yards PARKING. I pay 110$ for underground parking every month and all I get is aggressive letters from random people to tell me to move out of my own parking spot. Not only that I also receive parking ticket from Masonville yards themselves when I am parked on my OWN SPOT, with my parking permit displayed on dash broad! My parking spot constantly gets taken by other people and Masonville Yards Management barely puts in the effort to help me find out who constantly writes these aggressive, threatening letters or who parks in my spot. I seek help from the staff and the response I get is “Just park in staff parking above ground”. The staff never knows what works and what doesn’t in the building, they always just assume the amenities work. Being charged so much for the amenities and parking in the building just for non of them to work throughout the year is extremely frustrating. I really do advise you to find some place else to live because I do not wish someone to have a bad experience like I did!
