★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve usually had great experiences with this Home Depot in and out, maybe friendly banter with the check-out clerk on my way out but today I went in and I was in a rush so I went to self check-out only to be approached by a small woman who I thought was guiding me to a check-out but proceeded to grab my items and start scanning them? She then proceeded to take apart the stacked totes I was buying to individually scan each rather than scan the one 8 times, then telling me I couldn’t buy a bulk wooden crate because it didn’t have a sticker? I was buying 2 and the second did so I suggested she just scan that one twice to which she was confused and tried to state that “the alarms will go off”. Overall I felt as though she thought I was trying to steal products or that I was too stupid to manage to use the self check-out. Not happy and will be avoiding her in future visits.

I was just sent around place to place and told to talk to people I different departments who told me to go talk to the person in the first department so I just left without getting what I needed. I did find one thing I needed but then it would scan and they couldn't find it on the website so I had to just leave it at the register because there was no way to pay for it.... Weird

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite upset with this store. Bought a gazebo there and when I opened the box I saw that it was used. I paid full price for a used gazebo. I called and was told if I put it together and there's no issues I'd get a "small" discount. I was fine with that, little bit of dirt, no problem. When I took all the pieces out and checked the quantity of each I realized there were 4 main support pieces missing. The biggest problem is I drove an hour to get this since they were the only ones in stock. Now I gotta drive an hour again to get a refund. Fuel being as expensive as it is, I'm extremely annoyed. Won't be buying there again and will be sure to direct friends and family to go elsewhere.
UPDATE
After seeing this I was contacted by a home depot employee to rectify this issue. After discussing it they offered me a gift card which I used to purchase a new (unopened) item. I am very pleased that they reached out to me and offered a resolution that made me happy. As for the kitchener store, I will not be returning there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just went to buy a nest thermostat and couldn’t find the product on the aisle and asked for assistance. Two people April and John came up to assist within 5 min, coordinated between them, located the product and got to me. Going above and beyond they even explained to me about the Home Depot warranty as well as the manufacturer’s warranty post that. Overall Great and proactive service by them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Writing this review to appreciate Nathan from paints department. Nathan went out of his way to help me with what I needed during my last visit to the store.
Although he is not from plumbing department , he tried his best to make sure that I get the best possible solution for the problem.
Unfortunately the product was out of stock at Gateway store but I found the right product from Hespeler store only because of Nathan's help.
Thanks Nathan, really appreciate your work ethics and all the time you put in to help your customers.
