On a very short notice (something came up and I needed people for tomorrow morning- and I called today afternoon ) , I was able to get an amazing crew that has made a miracle for me. These guys made my move so clean and so stress free that I can't be happier. Awesome job guys. Thank you so much!!!!

The one star is for the guys who moved our stuff who were excellent! The company itself was very unprofessional. As we were having a new home built and could not move in right away, we had them store all of our possessions. When we called to check on them, they didn't seem to know where it was being stored. Several of our phone calls were not returned and their answering machine was always full. On our first moving day, they could not find our things and I drove out to their site to help them look for it. It was not there but at a different location. It took them a week to sort out all the issues and on final moving day I still had to drive out there to identify my things. They also needed help to load and unload the truck as they were short staffed. The manager (Jesse) was verbally abusive and unresponsive to our concerns. He even hung up on us several times! Very unprofessional.

Grand River Moving is a A+ moving company. Excellent movers. Polite and professional and get the job done. They pad and protect all furniture for safe travel with no damages! Easy to work with during stressful moving times. White glove service all around. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Jerome and the guys were amazing to deal with. They were very respectful and worked incredibly fast. We didn't have everything in boxes when the arrived but they didn't flinch and helped pack everything up. There was damage to the Kitchen table (hole in the middle) which we're working with the office to rectify (haven't heard anything back yet). I would recommend this company to my friends and family.

We were repeat customers, but never again. We booked for a 9:00am move. Jessie called us, completely confused, and I had to repeat our address a few times, he said he couldn't read his paperwork and blamed us because he "couldn't reach us". Funny, no one else had that issue ? We booked back in April, and spoke to their admin, Nicole twice since we booked, particularly two days before to confirm where the driver was to meet us. I believe she totally understood, and did her job. Then we got another call that the second driver didn't show up, so they were waiting for him. Not very professional for a company who people depend on at such a time sensitive moment. By 11:30am a lone mover came. Jerome, if you are reading this YOU were amazing! I'm sorry you had to work under the conditions this company put you under. We ended up helping our mover, and moving our furniture we contracted this company to do. It took three of us to get our king mattress up the stairs, yet this company expects one man to do it alone. ? At the last second, in walks Jessie. He couldn't wrap his head around our frustration, and acted rude, and aggressive, because he also couldn't understand the nuance of someone who helped move their own furniture for hours, complaining about it, and when we said we weren't paying full price to help move our own stuff, he took that personally, and kept insisting my husband calm down. ? Future advice, don't come into someone's house unannounced, act like you own the company, talk about how none of "your workers" didn't show up, pink slips, blah, blah, and expect the residents to not express their concerns loudly or otherwise to you! Why were you even here? You didn't do anything, but attempt to help move a washer and lose your shoe in the process. We spoke to the owner who gave us a discount, but with a guilt trip that we are taking money from our movers family. No sir, this is your problem! YOU AND YOUR COMPANY SCREWED UP! Jerome works for you, pay him the difference, and eat your mistakes. The funny part is they asked for a good review! ?. Jerome, and Jerome alone, you get five stars!

I had a terrible experience with this company. I booked them for 0930 on a Saturday. No one showed up. I attempted to call, email and go to the office, with no reply until 2pm. I had to rebook them for Monday at 0900. They arrived an hour late. I requested to speak to a manager, and a sales guy called me and completely dismissed me. The movers caused severe damage to our home and furniture. I have never experienced such awful customer service for a service I paid for. I do not suggest this company for anyone!!

My experience with Grand River moving was very unpleasant. They were abrasive, unprofessional and did not care about my customer experience or satisfaction. The company β€œwho hasn’t had a scratched floor claim in years” left multiple deep scratches in my refinished oak floors in my upstairs hallway and bedroom. I spoke to receptionist who asked me what I thought was fair compensation for the damage they caused. I had the flooring company (who had just refinished the floors) quote me 400$ to fix the scratches. I was seeking 400$ compensation to pay the scratches to be sanded out of my floor by the same company who originally refinished the floors. I waited a week to hear back and only got a response once I called the office. I asked to speak with the owner multiple times but never received a call. When I was contacted via email, I was offered 150 dollars compensation or for one of β€œtheir guys” to come fix my floors. Seeing as I spent thousands to have the floors refinished, I did not accept either of these options. I gave Grand River Moving until Dec 13th to work with me to come to an agreement regarding my damaged floors. I informed them if we did not come to a reasonable agreement, I would be writing online consumer reviews and filing formal complaints with the Canadian Association of Movers, Better Business Bureau and Consumer Protection Ontario. Overall, the company was rude and abrasive via email. They were not willing to speak with me via phone to come to a compromise. I was accused of β€œresorting to threats and blackmail”. I continued to receive inappropriate emails after I stopped replying to the email chain. It’s shocking to me that a company cares so little about their reputation. I was kindly reminded by this company that that β€œmovers don’t cover floors”. I have just never dealt with a business that cares so little about property and the general principles of respect and customer service. The whole situation has been upsetting and anxiety provoking. 0/10 customer service. I would never recommend this company to any of my family or friends just because of how I was treated. Read the google reviews below before booking this company. Clearly, I am not the only one who has had issues. Grand River Moving, if you are wondering why my reviews are so late, it's because I choose to enjoy my holiday season.

We were very happy with Grand River Moving. We had 2 trucks arrive and were moving from Blair (Cambridge) to St. Mary's. 6 men in total and they worked quickly and professionally. The lead guy has 23 years experience and he supervised everything. Everything was packed properly and safely and arrived in the same condition, no breakage or damage to anything. They told me when they left Blair they would stop for a quick lunch (nice that they advised us and they needed a lunch break). They unpacked quickly and put everything in its place. They were easy and fun to work with. Price was not only competitive but better than many other places. We recommend them highly!
