Shawn was an absolute pleasure to deal with! I had a stereo in mind when I went in, but Shawn showed me why I might want to spend a little bit extra on the upgraded model; it was a big difference in audio quality, and worth going to the upgraded model. He also took the time to help me with some other questions I had about my home theatre setup, and was honest and straightforward. After speaking with him for the better part of an hour, it was especially clear he knew his stuff inside and out, and it was very refreshing to hear the problems I'm having with HDMI-CEC on my equipment aren't my fault! He also had a set of wireless headphones I'd recommended to a friend in stock, and I've not been able to find them anywhere. Next time I'm looking for anything to do with my home theatre, I'll be visiting Shawn here, and in the meantime I'll be sending everyone else I know here. Unmatched knowledge and passion is present here.

I recently had to make an extended warranty claim with 2001 Audio Video. The process couldn't have been smoother. After contacting the London store where I had purchased the TV, I was advised to speak with Shawn at the King Street East store. After a couple of phone calls and emails, it was deemed unrepairable and that I would be getting a replacement. Shawn was great to deal with. He was knowledgeable about the products, explaining the nuances of each potential choice. Thanks again for a hassle-free experience!!

This shop has been helping me out for the better part of a decade now. I bought my first stereo system from them, then one for my parents, and now I've just finished my second upgraded system. They're knowledgeable on the product they stock, as well as other brands not in their store. I make a point of doing my research before I go in so I don't take up their time, but the guys are always happy to chat. They're a little more geared towards home theater vs hi-fi music listening, but the product mix definitely covers both sides. Please carry NAD!

Our TV died and we needed it replaced immediately. I had tested positive for covid the day before and therefore couldn't go into a store to talk to anyone, so I called Best Buy. I hadn't purchased a tv in over 10 years and things have changed greatly, so I had many question. Turns out that Best Buy's policy states that no one who calls in is allowed to speak to anyone at the store (!?!). This turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I called 2001 and spoke with Eric. He patiently answered all of my questions for over 45 minutes. Although, ideally, I would have gone into the store to actually see what I was buying Eric's information was enough for me to make, what I consider to be a well-informed decision. At no point in out conversation was he pushing any particularly brand or price point. Once I had made a decision, I ran it by him. He agreed, based on what I had told him of my needs. I then told him that I needed to make a decision on the size before committing and that I would call him back after doing some measurements. He agreed and said that he would be ready whenever I was. I called him back after 15 minutes and made arrangements for curbside pick up. He even loaded it into my car and gave specific instructions on how to unpack and set it up without damaging it. My entire transaction with Eric, from start to finish, was one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had (and the tv picture is beyond incredible). At the end of the day, a tv is a commodity - I can get one anywhere. Eric was absolutely the difference.

We are remodeling our home and wanted to put our wired surround sound system in the basement. We decided that a good sound bar to go with our Denon amp would be enough for our main floor listening and viewing on a daily basis. We called 2001 Audio and spoke with Sean. He listened to our needs and answered all of our questions. By the time we stopped in later that day he had already chosen the right sound bar of us. It was also a Denon. It was mid priced and was exactly what we needed. He explained the other makes and models and discussed price differences and features. We went with his recommendation. His easy nature and friendly disposition was great. When ever we want to buy any kind of audio and visual electronics we always go to 2001 Audio. You can always count on great service and lots of good information.
