★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favorite HD in North America.
This is a large location with a good selection. They've recently updated their power tools section, there's alot on display now and seems like overkill but I like it still.
The staff here are usually few and far between and when you do find them they're either incredibly helpful or not. I recommend if you don't like the service with one, take a walk and get a second opinion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incompetent staff who lack customer service skills. Last week young kid in garden center was clueless and showed no desire to work or help. Then today guy in lumber area leaves me waiting to assist two other customers who came up while he was helping me, he walks off and assist them and then comes back to tell me, he can’t cut my lumber because of a safety issue “he thinks” wasn’t confident that he couldn’t cut it - lack of training and or knowledge and no confidence. I only go here because it’s close - but due to the above I will plan to drive elsewhere across the city if needed rather than put up with this poor customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I expect basically nothing from staff and put any issue with this location on management or corporate or whatever. Inventory on the website isn't true to what's actually at this location. Attempted to purchase a nest cam, it wasn't in stock despite the website. The woman at the front didn't have time to handle my issue and punted me off to the service desk; where Sarah who was awesome did what she could. In the end I didn't get what I wanted. 1 star for basically wasting my time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They don't answer the phone. The phone rings once every 4 seconds I waited on the phone for approximately 175 rings I ended up hanging up.
On another matter I have ordered something online it said it would be here in 2 days it's been over a week the head office shipping Department I have not been able to talk to because when I call in a recorded message comes up and says their lines are full after I've already waited five minutes on hold, and then it will disconnect me I was on the phone for over 3 hours the other day today another hour today. I still do not have my product and have no idea when I'm going to get it even though the status online says delivery expected last week. My order is still in confirmation status with Home depot having my money $400 for over a week and I with no product or communication. Tip don't order anything online at Home Depot. Even if it says online purchase only, go elsewhere for the product in the store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a big home diy person and i had no idea that the home depot cut keys too! But it was a great experience and the guy who cut my keys did a great and accurate job. I had a good visit here. The place was clean too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No pets allowed. Okay I can deal with that since rona is across town.
Lumber section is so disorganized, I couldn't find a 2x6 or the place they should go. Nobody around to ask, so I decided on a 2x4 instead, even though there was no price shown.
Asked 2 associates for assistance cutting it to length, both said they would get someone, and walked away.
The woman who cut the lumber did an awesome job, understood exactly what I wanted, and was quick and professional.
Signs are posted saying that scraps and cutoffs can't be given to customers or staff. They'd rather pay to take it to a landfill than risk losing a few dollars of revenue.
Wanted some #8 x 2.5 screws to finish the project. All other sizes come in small packs, but nope not these very common size, 500 minimum for nearly $40.
4 associates at the lumber checkout, only 2 are helping customers. I line up at the checkout with a light on, to be told that no, that checkout isn't actuality active, get in line at the service desk.
The board I ended up with has several staples (for holding the plastic strapping, I assume) only partially removed, and left with sharp ends sticking out.
Associates moving carts in the parking lot might want to check that customers' car windows are closed before muttering profanities at them.
Such a terrible contrast to every home depot I've ever dealt with before. I will not be back.

But the Superstar staff member is Derick. I've been there several times and there is usually a line up of shoppers waiting to talk to him.
I myself have received his assistance in numerous departments of the store. He knows a lot about every department.
Derick doesn't just point shoppers in the right direction, he helps from start to finish.
Today he was so helpful to me. We started off discussing my potential purchase, but he didn't settle at that by giving his opinion.
He took me to one of the in store computer terminals where he looked up the items I needed, showed me the advantages of each of the products and even suggested that to improve upon the store return policy, I should get a Home Depot Card so that purchase could be returned within a year.
All the while customers were lining up waiting specifically for Derick.
One lady said to me she only seeks out Derick for assistance.
Derick is a Superstar and a massive credit to Home Depot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is always a great Home Depot to visit because it’s not outrageously busy.
Visited the Garden Centre recently, staff were very helpful in selecting some soil types for a small backyard garden to plant tomatoes ? and cucumber ?
Picture shown is the large selection of fresh house plants. They were all in great condition and freshly watered.
Also have never had a problem finding tools for small home projects here and there.
