β β β β β I sent my LG TV to get the backlights repaired. David attempted twice to repair it, but failed. And I already paid him $180 from the first attempt. So I decided to get a refund. David charged me an additional $40 for my refund. So he took off $40 from the $180 I paid, and my TV was never fixed. I went back to the store five times. It is clear that David does not know how to repair TV backlights. I do not recommend going to this store to have your TV repaired. Go somewhere else where the person actually knows how to fix your TV.

β β β β β brought in an audio interface to be fixed, and was charged $130 for not only it not to be fixed, but for the technician to not have even done basic testing on it (the issue was immediately obvious as soon as it received power).
was told that they would order a replacement part (1-2 weeks) and call me back. no such thing has happened (and i've called them enquiring) in the 3~ months since.
do not recommend.

β β β β β I dropped my receiver off to be looked at and he took my name and number and said he would give me a call.
I waited for over an hour and hadn't heard anything from him so I decided to pop into the store to get an estimated time frame.
He was sleeping in his chair. Then proceeded to tell me it would be about a couple of days.
I promptly took my business elsewhere and will not be returning.

First I took it to geek squad they didn't want to take it for repair even I bought it at best buy .
Star electronics did great job.
I will recommend that shop to my friends, coworkers.

Just went there again today and nothing changed. They still have 5 stars, they deserve it.

β β β β β Came here to have my parents 5 year old samsung tv backlight issues repaired. Prompt replies, quick turnaround time, and came out cheaper than quoted. Another company I asked said it wasnβt feasible to do, unless I DIY.

β β β β β I had the tv with back light problem He said he is gonna replace all and charged me $220 but he just replace 2 piece of it instead of all of them and he didnt reply my message l texted him when l recieve the tv , he didnt reply my messages. When l came to his store to show pictures he told me this tv needs back lights l told him you replaced them few days ago after that he said This is unit problem l can not fixed. I asked how about 90 days warranty and l got reply βhe cannot do anyting about thayβ

β β β β β Broken Viewsonic projector that I brought in for assessment. Was diagnosed and fixed for a good and honest price. Showed me the replacement parts and how much they cost on the Viewsonic website, and they had actually went on sale and David charged me an amount LOWER than the original quoted price because of this. Great service

β β β β β I got my TV diagnosed by Excel Electronics (for free) and was told that my panel was the issue and it wasn't worth fixing. So I took it here to Star Electronics for a 2nd opinion. I should've just saved my gas money and trusted Excel.
Unfortunately the guy at Star wanted to charge me $60 for his time to diagnose, and additionally asked for a $300 deposit because he had to order a part to diagnose the issue and said that the part might not even the problem. How does a reputable repairman jump to ordering parts when you haven't even opened the tv up to look at it. Then he starts pointing at other TVs and tells me those ones cost $600 to fix. At that point I took my TV and left. He seemed like he just wanted to charge me to order a part with no promises of even figuring out what was wrong, let alone a fix.
Word of advice, go to Excel Electronics.
