J	Joanne MacDonald on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter went to Sposa Wedding World in October and was initially told her pre-booked appointment to view wedding dresses was not on their schedule. The appointment went downhill from there. A consultant decided to conduct the appointment but, after she took our party of three to sit down in a viewing area, she immediately began bullying my daughter into giving her the names of all the dress stores we’d already visited. My daughter was eventually shown some wedding gowns and, after trying on only one dress, she was immediately pressured to buy it. Instead, my daughter said that she’d consider the gown, and then got dressed in her own clothes. We prepared to leave, however, the consultant then insisted on taking my daughter’s measurements over her clothes, subjecting her to a most invasive measuring process; my daughter felt violated. All in all, our experience at Sposa was extremely distasteful. I kick myself for not returning to the store that day and demanding an apology for the unprofessional treatment that my daughter received. My only excuse is that after being treated so graciously at the five dress shops we’d visited earlier, that our treatment at Sposa left all of us speechless and in a state of complete and utter shock. I do not recommend Sposa to anyone searching for a wedding dress.

I found Edie to be very professional and genuinely willing to share ideas, make suggestions, and ensure I found the perfect dress and veil I was looking for. Very pleased with my visit today.

From the minute we walked in, it was quite clear that our business was not important to them, nor was any effort made to make it feel like a special or personalized experience. During the initial "consultation", the consultant we were matched with was more interested in finding out what other stores we had visited and trying to see photos of their dresses, than spending any time getting to know my preferred dress style or details about my upcoming wedding. After an uncomfortable consultation, I did try on one dress and was immediately pressured to make a purchase. Sposa was night and day from any of the other shops we had visited and the experience was the exact opposite of what you would hope for as a bride-to-be. I would not recommend Sposa to any future brides - please save yourself the time and energy and do not book an appointment.

They have both samples and new dresses available for purchase, so it was easy to find a dress I loved within my budget. I asked for some specific alterations to my gown, and they assured me it would be no problem. The finished result was perfect, and exactly what I had wanted. Vanessa, their seamstress, did an amazing job with alterations. They were even able to make me a matching mask, with the extra fabric from my hemming, to match my dress perfectly in the event I might need it. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience at this bridal store.

Edie was our consultant and from the second we walked through the door, she made me feel, as a bride, so special. She took the time to guide us through the whole store, explaining all the various silhouettes/designers/ trunk dresses with us. Such a great selection to pick from. She gave us the space to do our own looking and also took into consideration my style and budget and made amazing recommendations advising me to try on all styles to make the best and most informed decision. Her customer service is unmatched. Thank you for making this experience fun, memorable and so special.

But with Edie as our consultant, we had a fantastic experience at Sposa! She was kind, reassuring and totally made my mother and I at ease. They have a beautiful selection of dresses. She took her time showing me many dresses and I never felt rushed. She closely listened to what I was looking for and found me the perfect dress within budget. She gave great advice throughout the appointment and provided excellent service. I would highly recommend seeing Edie to find your dream dress.

She spent time getting to know me and my family I brought, and took the time to show us the store and different dress styles and price ranges.
