I visited the store on 17th July and needed some advise regarding the service for my son's bike. I was fortunate that I met Liam. What a knowledgeable and thorough gentleman he was. He helped me more than my expectations. Honestly I've never experienced such helpful and courteous employee before. I wish every enterprise has employees like Liam. Thank you Sport Chek.

UPDATE: manager called, apologized for poor treatment and took the bike in. They gave the bike a solid dose of TLC. Not sure if I initially landed on someone who was just having a bad day, but in the end, the store really stepped up. Thanks Chris. Previous: Bought a bike for my daughter in July '19, which included a checkup within a year. That didn't work out, obviously. Just called to see if they would honour the checkup now, and they said no. Disappointed & unlikely to shop here again

I visited the store this evening to have a rotor removed from my bike wheel. Simple task for a store that carries and services bicycles. Unfortunately they were unable to perform this simple task because they didn't have a “certified technician” available to use a wrench and a cassette tool for my centre lock rotor. I said I would be more than willing to let anyone attempt this as it is one of the most straightforward procedures in a bike shop setting. This request was denied without discussion. I was met by friendly staff (Scott and Jack) but was turned away. If you’re going to operate a service centre, you should have at least one individual who can perform these simple tasks available during all operating hours. I hope this was a one off experience as they are the only “bike shop” open until 9pm on Friday’s in this area. Dissapointed with this unreasonable “policy”.

Horrible customer experience. Do not order anything from Sport Chek online. They are not transparent about their terms and conditions and exceptions to usual return policy. They do not communicate them to clients during order flow nor do they send to clients as part of order confirmation. Shady business practices. Customer service is non existant. Terrible customer service experience. This is no Amazon! Never again. Avoid at all costs.

I went to Sport Check to look for a bicycle for my daughter , Mr. Scott was amazing, so friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help . And then he advised me how to find the proper skates for my daughter, gave me valuable hints and tips. On top of that he was kind and patient with my little one ( who likes to chat?) Mr. Scott is very professional. It was a great experience, highly recommended .

This SportChek has a very large variety of items, almost guaranteed to find what you are looking for, and most importantly the staff is very hospitable; they were very helpful in locating all the gears I was looking for. Special recognition for Adam at the cashier, he truly went above and beyond in answering all my questions, he wasn’t only patient and knowledgeable about the products, but he also knew the Triangle Rewards Program very well. He assisted me for the sign up process and even gave me insights about the MasterCard as well. Thank you and see you again soon!

I’ve always found solid customer service at the Oakville Place store but even within that context, my latest experience was exceptional. Investigating whether I needed to buy a size up in my ski boots, I met Chris. After a thorough boot fit, he was skeptical that my boots were too small and encouraged me to bring them in for a look. He showed me how to adjust the buckles, put them in the heat molder to make them more flexible (they’d been stored for a few years) and gave me tips on how best to store them to retain the shape. Problem solved. When I asked how much the boot fit was, Chris replied, “Nothing. We’re here to help.” And that right there is how you build customer loyalty. Thanks Chris!

So thankful for the great staff at the sportchek location to offer me a free special bolt on the hockey helmet. It is not for sale in most of the retail store… thanks a lot and thumbs up!
