Mark, and his team are THE speed experts, when it comes bikes, wheels, accessories, repairs, and tips & tricks. They are passionate cyclists that live what they preach, and will take care of your bike like it was one of their own. I ride a LOT, and these guys go out of their way to make sure my bikes stay tuned and running at their best all year round. Looking for the perfect one stop shop and pit stop? Look no further than Speed Theory. Please make sure you book your appointment(s).

The salespersons were so friendly and helpful! We had a long discussion not only about the right bike for me, but they also shared many tips about cycling events and invited me to join their club. I was so impressed by their willingness and passion about bikes.

Brought my old(ish) road bike in to get a bit of a tune-up. Vaughan and Robin (I think?) helped me out, they were very friendly and easy to talk to. More importantly, they knew I was trying to keep the total bill as low as possible so they weren't pushy with me whatsoever. This place has really nice bikes in there, but don't be afraid to bring in any road bike that needs work as they'll be happy to do it.

I walked in needing a few basic replacements/fixes on my road bike, but they were all backed up with other bikes. So I bought the parts I needed from them and did the repair myself right there in their shop -- and they were happy to help me out with fine-tuning adjustments at the end! Another time I've been helped by Rob who replaced my rear cassette in a matter of minutes while explaining each step of the process to me. They're passionate about working on bikes and will readily share their knowledge if you ask. Always going to keep coming back here for my bicycle needs.

Speed Theory is a great store for performance bikes maintenance, cycling equipment and fancy new bikes. The personnel is friendly. Cycling is an expensive sport, but they will only charge for services and items that are needed. I like using their service, even if you need to make an appointment a long time in advance.

They work very hard to take care of their customers. It can be crazy busy however - Everybody feels their bike is the most important (as I do as well ?) so weekdays are generally better. But - totally worth it to buy a bike here vs. internet or unknown source. Talk to Mark if he’s free.

Parts and gear here could be expensive, but can find some deals too. Mechanics are knowledgeable. Shopping here with the main guy around is weird, the store is badly lit, unwelcoming. But that's just the start. If you want to get laughed at loudly by staff or trip over randomly scattered items, or wonder why trash is kept where they shouldn't be, or hear the staff badmouth customers, or be puzzled why the main guy can't finish answering your inquiries, come and visit. Maybe you can figure out why the main guy acts like he lost his mind 25 years ago and is looking for it since.

If you want steely eyed missile men to look after you bike, look no further than Speed Theory. I brought my much loved Marin road bike in to have them look at the shimano Di2 system as it was non-functional. Several other cycle places had recommended Speed Theory as the experts in Shimano Di2. I walked in and was greeted by a great fellow who said Rob may be able to help. Rob who was at Ace Cycle when I bought my bike, looked at it it like it was a old friend. He said leave it with me. Within a week Rob called back and said it was ready for pickup. Mark and Rob had worked on it and upgraded the electronic group sets and the system firmware for the Di2. It was no small feat and required genius to even begin to understand the nuances. It works like it is brand new. Mark and Rob could probably program a satellite if they had to and fit it back into the tubes on a Marin bike. It was that complex. They are amazing. If you want to take you bike to a team who really cares about bikes, and provide outstanding customer service then Speed Cycle is your next stop. Or if the Canada Space team are looking for firmware wizards I would also stop past Speed Theory.
