★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They told us they were opening at noon then opened at one. Seemed understaffed so I don't blame the poor kid working there, but took a long time to prepare our small order (one hotdog and two burgers). The buns were so stale we couldn't chew them. If you're at the beach and hungry maybe try the East cafe?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Burgers had fresh patties, rather than frozen, which is always appreciated. Other than that, though .... It opened almost 20 minutes late, so a big line of confused and irritated customers when they finally did open up. From there, it appeared to be total chaos in the kitchen. Several errors in our (admittedly large) order, despite them repeating it back to us. The people around us had the same experience (we had plenty of time to bond). Soggy, greasy fries and likewise the fish, which was unfortunate because it was a generous portion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a real beach concession. Don't expect fine dining. I am not sure what some of the previous reviewers were imagining the menu would be. Having said that, the food they serve is good. Much improved over the years too. Their hand battered fish and chips are really good and it is a large size piece of fish. Today it was $11+ for 1 piece of fish $14+ for two. A friend and I shared the 2 piece and it was plenty and delish! I saw the hotdogs that some folks had and they were large and in nice looking hefty buns, The prices have always been on the high side at the local beach concessions. It is nice to get a decent serving after shelling out. Sometimes it can be a long wait. Today we waited 1/2 hour after ordering. There was only one person working at the time. The fish was worth the wait though ;)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a small fish and chips and a black coffee. It was not too expensive, and tasted pretty good. Very convenient to be able to get lunch at the beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's your basic concession. Could have more icecream options. (They do carry Umaluma Dairy Free Gelato) but for those of us that like full fat, full deliciousness ;), they didn't have any actual ice cream, just a selection of those "ice cream truck" options. They have REALLY good fish and chips! Surprisingly good considering it's a beach concession stand. All their hot food is made to order so sometimes it takes a bit to receive your food. Which I think is perfectly fine. I'd rather wait a bit for fresh, hot food than wait little to no time for soggy, cold food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great beach ,swimming, walking, grilling, sports, lots of activities. Enjoy low tide and walk very far towards the sea but don't forget about the high tide coming so quickly ! Check tide in and out time.
