Their book collection (note especially their manga) is also very decent compared to other libraries of equivalent size (i.e. Nicholls Family, Louise Riley, Quarry Park, etc...).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Much like most other library's I've been to in the city, the selection of books is limited- to non existent. If you've been to any library in any town (or literally any other city Library in the province) surrounding the city, you'd understand how dissapointing the city libraries like this one are.
With a small selection of books, you will very quickly realize this is more of a Calgary library Ordering hub, than like any actual real library. I've seen towns with less than a thousand people with many, many more books than this library, so if you're someone who likes to browse and check through a catalog, your best bet is to just browse for books at a book store, look up the book you want online, and order it to the location through Calgary public library online.
No reason to go in unless you need access to a public printer and computer, but even then Staples has that covered.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The book selection is small, but you can always reserve books online for pick up. This library gives the small town library feeling. Great place for studying or working.
