Apple Dental - Calgary

This last visit was great, best clean and polish ever. I'm no longer afraid to visit the dentists office. Megan the hygienist is kind, calm, skilled, and patient, she also made sure I was comfortable as well, such a professional. I recommend people start asking for her by name if you get the chance to visit Apple Dental. Really good. Thank you

Why I would come back: * The hygienist was meticulous and considerate throughout the cleaning * Staff was nice * Dentist was knowledgeable and had a gentle touch Why I am never coming back: * Contacting me before my husband on items pertaining to him (These were not emergencies. I am an emergency contact - Call HIM) * Was told that the panoramic x-ray was not going to be covered by my insurance - but only after the machine was not working on that day (No surprise charge for me. Lucky me.) * Two of the receptionists were not able to submit my charges to my insurance - until I had noticed that my policy number was entered incorrectly and pointed that out * My appointments were booked under two different accounts with the same name, which had forced me to rebook an appointment a few minutes before it was supposed to happen (and then calling me back to come back 10 minutes after my original appointment had started) * Noticed that the charges were greater than what was pre-authorised (not necessarily suspicious in itself as it does happen, but adding this here) * Pre-authorisation of night guard estimates were sent to my insurance after I had specifically spoke to them on the phone telling them that I was going to wait and see how my orthodontic treatment would go before even considering it * Contacting me a week after the initial call to let me know that my insurance had pre-approved the night guard treatment that I did not approve * Increased sensitivity of my teeth after dental treatment...which should have reduced my sensitivity Mind you, this was within a few months of being with them. My husband had endured years of incorrect billing. Never again.

My partner use to go here. they run a very sneaky practise. They will do their absolute best to charge you for as many unnecessary procedures as possible and squeeze every cent out of your insurance in the first visit. I would never recommend anyone go here. EDIT: I am not interested in conversing with management at Apple Dental. As I said they will do every unnecessary procedure to extort as much of your available insurance as possible. Extremely predatory.

I’ve been going here for 20 years. I had a routine cleaning and check up, and I had a better experience here then the last. The previous dental hygienist was very rude, and made me feel terrible so I was very pleased she wasn’t there. All the staff where very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely fantastic service!! Cannot thank them enough. I had a extremely bad tooth and they put me in the same day! Super affordable! You’re #1 priority in they’re eyes and it definitely shows!!! Best dental place by far!!

WOW! Amazing dental experience from being a new patient to accommodating my schedule!!! First time ever I had such a thorough cancer screening of my mouth and tongue (by both the excellent dentist and hygienist).The cleaning and dental exams were thorough, gentle, and the price point is spot on!

I only have positive feedback for this clinic. Dr. Meghji is an amazing doctor, trustworthy and works for best interests of her patients. She truly has a genuine soul and makes me always feel welcomed and comfortable. Not only are the doctors amazing, the support staff are fantastic. I would recommend this team to all my family and friends.

Everyone is so nice and helpful and I would definitely recommend Apple Dental to any of my friends. Patricia did a great job, she is very knowledgeable and friendly. The thing that irked me this time was that I simply went for a basic cleaning but they offered services to me or told me that I needed them, and when it was time to leave, I was surprised with a bill for over $160. If I had known the services were not going to be covered by my insurance, I would have never have agreed to them.
