I stopped going to the dentist because of a negative experience over 15 years ago where I had several fillings done and it lasted almost all day and felt like a CIA torture session- the dentist gave me several numbing shots but still, I can feel the drill hit the tooth and what felt like a nerve. I was hesitant at first to get it done when the MDC team told me I had a cracked filling and held off for over a year because I was expecting the same experience as the last time I had my fillings done. Eventually, I figured I should get it done or I would require more expensive dental work. I was extremely nervous when before the procedure and I notified the dental team that I do not freeze easy. Dr. Datu and his assistant gave me reassurances that they will make it easy and I won't feel a thing, then applied numbing cream and provided several shots of numbing drugs. I did not feel anything other than the vibration of the drill. I'm not so worried about the next time I will need to get fillings done, whenever that may be so long as it will be with Dr. Datu and the MDC team. As an aside, Dr. Datu spotted an irregularity in my gum, he removed it with my consent and sent it off for sample testing. In the past he also checked my lymph nodes for any irregularity. Dr. Datu is not just a dentist, he is also an advocate for patient health.
D	Dylan Reardon on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Datu is terrific: pofessional, trustworthy, kind, fair--he far exceeds all the things you'd expect from a dentist. I've been following him around since his first dental gig in Bowness; first to Airdrie, then downtown Calgary, and currently Dental Choice Macleod. I'd track him down if he moved again.

I really enjoyed the dental hygienist who cared for me. I forgot her name ?but she is a new grad. She was very informative, made sure I was comfortable and answers any questions I had. I have to mention she was very gentle as well. She was great. Dr dahtu was also very pleasant and very thorough on my checkup. They both made me feel at ease and that I shouldn’t worry. The clinic was very clean and organized and receptionists were super friendly. Was in and out quick and no hassle, thank you.

Felt no pain and the staff was extremely friendly and honest, not trying to sell any unnecessary services which I really appreciate as a starving student! Definitely pick this office if you're looking for a new dentist!

She is the first hygienist I've ever had who does the job without saying this might hurt a little. And I have a problem child kind of mouth, where I had accepted pain is part of the process. Thank you for the honest feedback and plan to clean up my mouth. Dr. Datu if every cleaning could start with that little jaw massage I'd give your team 6 stars. Also appreciated the real time billing info to make decisions. I do like how they are spacing patients in the waiting room and they are always on time.

Took an entire day off for this. Very disappointed

I had two extractions done, and Dr. Datu was so kind, calming, and reassuring throughout the whole process. Katja was also so kind and helpful during my initial exam and extractions. Everyone I interacted with at the clinic was incredibly friendly and caring. Everything throughout my initial exam and subsequent extractions was explained to me thoroughly, and my wishes for treatment were kindly respected. The extractions themselves went as quickly and comfortably as I imagine extractions can be. I will definitely be returning to Macleod Dental Choice for future dental work!
L	Layla Jebril on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prior to going in to MacLeod Dental Choice, I hadn't been to a dentist in at least 10 years for various reasons. Needless to say, I was extremely nervous. I was also in a ton of pain and under a lot of stress due to external reasons at the time. The staff, from the receptionists - to the hygienists - to the doctors, were just amazing. They are so kind and so professional, and obviously so good at what they do! I definitely plan on making this my regular check-up dentistry office from now on. I'd highly recommend them to absolutely anyone. And to the staff - thank you guys so much! It's a bit cheesy to say, but you guys definitely put smiles on people's faces in more ways than one.
