★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I took our open water course, advanced course followed recently with the Nitrox course all with Sink or Swim Scuba. From day one, they have gone above and beyond to make us feel very comfortable. The owners Ray and Shelagh Richer are very knowledgeable and take pride in their shop, and it shows in everything they do. They have drop in dives every week with awesome dive masters that help you if you're new to that area or aren't sure about it. The shop has a great selection of gear and accessories and even their rental gear is in fantastic shape, as they change it every year. Whether you are new to diving or in the need for a refresher course, go see Ray and Shelagh you will not be disappointed.

Ray is a very knowledgeable and friendly man who spent lots of time with me to find the best gear I could afford, he showed me every feature and gave me a few little tips!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff, great equipment. No boat for scuba tours this year. However, Nanaimo has great shore dives that Ray would surely tell you all about and be glad to rent you equipment and tanks for. Say hi to the shops google home for us when you go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had my guided dives on Aug 24, 2021.I booked my dives with Sink Or Swim Scuba Shop. It was my first time diving in a salt water in the dry suit. My local diving guide and dive master was Don, who was very professional, extremely patient and super friendly and helpful during my dives. Don also shared some useful tips about diving in the area and about local attractions. The shop’s staff was great too, well organized. We did 2 shore dives at BlueBack Community Park, Tyee Cresc, Nanoose Bay - Amazing experience! Every moment of the event was very enjoyable, and I will definitely do it again, when I am on Vancouver Island the next time.
Also, I would like to thank Shelagh, who helped with booking my dives and renting tanks and weights. All interactions were done seamlessly over the email, and when I arrived on the morning of my dives everything was ready to go.
I will not hesitate to recommend Sink Or Swim Scuba Shop to anyone, who wants to experience enjoyable diving on island around Nanaimo area, and obviously would recommend to choose Don as your divemaster. Thank you, guys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sink or Swim Scuba is a great dive shop for everything dive related. My partner and I took our Open water and Advanced through them. They have a excellent selection of gear and service all makes of regs and gear. Trent and Christina will give you a hand with anything you need. Awesome place to visit and rent gear from.
All of the rental gear is replaced yearly so your not diving with old kit and makes you dive feel safe in the water. Much better than some dive shops out there. Easy to locate as it's directly off from the highway in Nanaimo. Would recommend to anyone interested in diving or a experienced diver in need of servicing.
