The new pharmacy owner/pharmacist is absolutely terrible. Not only is he an unfriendly jerk when serving customers, he outright refuses to fill prescriptions that are needed in a timely way. He refused to fill my prescription for antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication the same day, after I had emergency dental surgery on my jaw, even after I explained to him that my doctor said I must start taking them right away, before the freezing wore off, to prevent infection and significant pain and swelling. This was on Dec 26th, when no other pharmacies were open in the area. Absolutely awful and negligent service. Do NOT give this pharmacy your business or trust them at all to be there when you need them. Go to any other pharmacy in the area and you will be treated much better. I know there will be reply underneath from customer care saying this feedback is important.... but if it was important something would have been done about the associate pharmacist owner, as there have been multiple, numerous complaints about him since he took over. Just scroll down and look!

Walked into the pharmacy to pick up a prescription, gentleman pharmacist was at the "drop off" section typing away. No "hello" or acknowledgement of me for 2 minutes. I went over to his desk, no "hello" or acknowledgement of me again. I said "hello, I'm here to pick up a prescription," he still didn't even look at me, said he'd be with me in a few minutes. He eventually stopped typing and asked what my birthdate is, still no "hello" or acknowledgement of my waiting for him or even an apology for keeping the customer waiting. I can understand if whatever he was typing was urgent and couldn't be interrupted, but customer service means acknowledging the customer waiting for you. To just ignore me is to take me for granted. I've been on hold for an over an hour prior to this, I've had many issues with this place, and I'm not interested in drama like this. I transferred my prescriptions here but I'll be moving them elsewhere after today.

I really didn’t want to leave a bad review but when it comes to the pharmacy, the behaviour is disgusting. I’ve had so much time consumed after all my patience used. I really don’t know what’s their problem. Despite my kind tone, they’ll cut you off before you get to answer their questions and use a very rude tone without even knowing who you are. I have no problem with their procedures. Whether that’s having documentation or ID or having to fax something. I’ll abide by them but one thing I can not tolerate is calling in advance for a prescription just to get hanged up on before the phone is even answered. Shoppers Drug Mart claims that prescriptions are easier to receive with the “simple app” but this store does not represent that voice, not one bit. 24 hours or the next business day it’s supposed to take but at this store, it will take 3 days or more if you can get them to acknowledge the request or without someone putting you on hold for over an hour then transferring you just so you can wait for another half an hour. I’ve even memorized some of the store’s songs. The amount of times I’ve heard Iyaz’s Replay, One Direction or Jason Derulo is countless. Usually I just pick up my prescription in person and I’d wait 15 minutes or something but I recently got COVID-19 so I have to isolate so I have no choice but to call them numerous times. It sucks that I can’t receive my prescription having COVID because even the person that needs to pick it up for me is confused whenever I update them about my status with pharmacy. It’s sad because I only live less then ten minutes away and I don’t think it’s always been like this. If the current pharmacists hate their job so much, why even be one?

They NEVER pick up the phone, you can be on hold for an hour and when they pick up they put you back on hold or transfer you to another department. The pharmacy assistants are very rude, one time one assistant picked up the phone and she literally yelled “we’re very busy we don’t have time today” without me even saying a word. It was shockingly rude, I had to ask her is this the pharmacy? They don’t fill your prescriptions, they never check their faxes, they make you wait for hours to pick up your meds, the male pharmacist is very condescending and hung up the phone on me. The other day they didn’t even bother to fill one of my important prescriptions and just put it on hold. I’ve been going their for over a year and now refuse to give them my business. I’m sorry but do better! There are a few pharmacists there that are amazing however and they have been so helpful. It’s just the service that’s appalling.

This is not the first poor experience I’ve had with this pharmacy as a result of their lack of due diligence. The first time I booked my COVID test here they had a power outage and failed to inform us until we got there for the time of our appointments. We had to run to ANOTHER location to try and get a last minute test booked while our flight was in the next two days. This time, we showed up for our appointment slot and waited over 1 hour to get our test done. They then took 6 hours to call us letting us know they couldn’t send our form in because the QR code was not scanning, meaning we had to print it out again for them. This delayed our tests from getting sent in until the following day, and we didn’t get our results in time for our flight - having to book a rapid test upon arrival at the airport. Not to mention, when I had booked my vaccine appointment, they also did not honour appointment times as I waited over 40 minutes for that as well. I would not come here again for any of my pharmacy needs as they clearly have no care for their customers.

Giving 1 start for the owner or whoever is making the shifts. Went about 3 weeks ago around noon on a Sat. Wendy the pharmacist was super nice and helpful, however she was the only one working in the pharmacy area. There was a line of 3 people at drop off and 1 at pick up, plus the phone ringing. Not sure how it is planned.

I believe this is the first negative review I have ever left for a business. Had a terrible experience here with the pharmacy for COVID testing. I went through the website got a confirmation code, called the pharmacy to book an appointment, and they told me they could only give me an appointment between 7:00 and 8:00 am. I took an appointment for 7:35am. Showed up at 7:30am and the door to Shoppers was locked. A helpful staff member opened the door and explained to me that the pharmacist or owner were not there or had just left the premises. They told me the pharmacy does not open until 8:00am. So I came back at 8:05am. The pharmacist just kept telling me she is working on the situation. Never once telling me what she is doing, only mentioned something about “having to look at the whole system”. As I am writing this review it is about 8:50am, and the kicker is that there haven’t even been that many customers. Pharmacist just doesn’t seem bothered to help, echoed by the fact that I constantly hear the phone ringing and nobody picking it up. Truly disappointed with the service here. **update: pharmacist just informed me that another person is coming into the pharmacy at 9:00am and then she can leave the desk and do my test. If she had let me know this at 8:05, I wouldn’t have had to sit in the pharmacy unsure about what was happening **update 2: apparently the pharmacist that was supposed to come in the morning just didn’t show up, so I am sure that is easy to track

Shoppers Drug Mart The place is located on one of the corner of Peter and King West intersection, in the middle of entertainment district of Toronto. It's open till 00.00 am all days of week. The place is clean and use of mask is mandatory. Some groceries and OCT drugs available. Vaccination admission is permitted and Canada Post is also worked there. My son likes self service check out of shoppers. I recommend it. The price is not expensive and there isn't crowded.
