Like the store, the pharmacy, and the mail outlet. But the security company they've hired does nothing but chat up the cosmetic employees and park right in front of the doors. We were harassed in the parking lot in our vehicle while one of them sat on a stool inside and hit on the girls at the cosmetic counter. Need a better security company

I will be calling the manager of the store tomorrow to get an Employee fired for discrimination! My friend was in this store earlier tonight and she forgot her mask but was offered one by some strangers when she was turned away for not having one. She had put her sweater over her mouth and nose before getting this mask and was treated fowl by a women with dark hair. When she entered back in with her mask she was told she had a bad attitude and leave even though she didnt. Infact my friend really didnt say anything! Your dark haired employee proceeded to have her followed by the security guard and when she went to check out she was refused service and the women said my friend told her to Eff off and she never did. She was deliberately bullied and picked on and refused service for no reason! Id better hear back on this of yall are getting a rude awakening in the morning!!!!! A phone call alllllll theeeee way from Colorado!!!

No masks are required. This is a non-scientific and unconscionable decision by Shoppers/Loblaw Inc. that adversely impacts immunocompromised individuals and those with underlying health issuesβ€”even with an N95 we are still at increased risk (I am 140 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than a healthy 20-year-old), as many of their employees, security personnel, and of course the customers are now unmasked. The aisles in this store are narrow, create bottlenecks, and the ceiling is unusually lowβ€”all of which contribute to poor airflow, choke points and the potential for an increased rate of transmission as there are now many more vectors in play. Where are the carbon dioxide monitors?β€”they cost all of $150. They are an important tool, acting as a reasonable proxy for ventilation and potential rate of transmission. Why is physical distancing no longer being practiced? Dr. Piggott, our local Public Health Officer has strenuously recommended maintaining masking and physical distancing until there are more wastewater COVID-19 data available; as have Dr.'s JΓΌni and Bogoch. Our wastewater COVID-19 concentration here in Peterborough is doubling every 7 days. Also, according to Dr. JΓΌni: β€œWe are now starting to see exponential growth again and what worries me is that it looks as if it will be relatively steep,” said JΓΌni. β€œIt’s really important for people to take it slow and not get ahead of themselves with increasing their contacts, with going to crowded places and with dropping their masks.” This situation requires action, not complacency and/or indifference by our local businesses. We must stand behind the science not the politics. I will not return.

I’m shocked by the neg comments. My husb and I have been using this SDM for 25+ yrs and yes there has been the odd issue Hani has always did what he could to make it right. He and some of his pharmacy staff have gone out of their way for us at times. TBF it does seem last two yrs in gen has given licence to various front line gate keepers and staff to be rude and insensitive in situations where most aren’t well and or just looking to go about their day despite an overwhelming atmosphere of media/govt fed fear beyond rational. Take your job seriously yes but it’s not a war zone or a prison so treat others with dignity and respect as you’d want to be. Anyway thanks to Hani and his staff for getting us through some stressful times.

I am appalled by the awfulness of the cosmetics department. I tried to return an unopened perfume, a few days after purchasing with a receipt and all. The woman working at the cosmetics department said that there was no way a return could be done because it was perfume???? Nowhere on the Shoppers Drug Mart return policy did it say perfume could not be returned. She called her manager and it turned out, yes, it could be returned. This woman made the process so difficult. It was clear how angry she was. She said I couldn't return with an emailed/digital receipt, I'd have to go to another Shoppers because in her words "we have crackheads trying to return stuff here". Unbelieveable, is this someone you want working and representing the downtown community? I asked her to scan my receipt again and the return finally worked but my God was that ridiculous. How power hungry! She was the one making this such an awful experience. I swear half her answers were just lies because she did not want to do the return. She was intimitdating and so rude. I truly just wanted to do a return, it was clear she did not like me. And I do not like her!!!

Don't expect your delivery to be on time, currently feeling withdrawals from an irresponsible delivery worker that was supposed to deliver between 12-4. When I called after 4, the kind pharmacist explained they for whatever reason pushed it to the evening delivery between 5-9. Now debilitated, I have to have my partner walk to go pick it up. Disappointed with this lack of communication- it impacts people's well being - we rely on our medications to feel normal and healthy!!!!

- this place has no fruit, veggies or prepared food. what a shame. i would make more purchases here if they do. - staff is most friendly and hard working. place is clean. - i myself (as a non- white, male for people into this kind of info) don't find safety to be a concern around the store. but i don't hang out around the store late at night. still it's better to stay alert as this is not the best part of town. - if your doctor gives you 3 refills of 90 days they would only give you 1 month at a time. i guess it's a common practice at shoppers. not sure if this is to prevent overdose? i don't like it because i have to unnecessarily pay the dispensing fee 3 times. that said, pharmacy team is nice. hope this helps!

I’ve been going to this Shoppers for years and feel the folks who work there are part of my community. They know me, call me by my name, and despite how busy they are, always have time for me. Pretty amazing! Both pharmacists Hani and Adrian have always listened carefully to me, been so up to date in their knowledge of the meds I’m on, and treated me with great dignity and kindness. I couldn’t be more grateful. I was sad I couldn’t say goodbye to Hani and do hope one of the staff will pass on all my best wishes to him and his family.
