Jenny (the Chinese lady) at the beauty boutique deserves way more than a 5 star for her exceptional customer service. I bought a few beauty products and after I paid she realized that my 20x the points didn't go through. Before I even said anything, she immediately offered to help me fix this problem. My phone was also about to die and I needed it to load my PC card, so she EVEN OFFERED to charge my phone for me! At the same time, I realized that I bought a wrong item and she helped me do a return right away. I felt bad that she had to help me with so many issues, but she was like " no need to be sorry, it is okay!" She is such a kind lady! Thank you Jenny for going above and beyond! 10000000+ stars!

I went to this location to buy an item which I also had a printable coupon for. As I walked to the cashier, I gave the cashier the courtesy that I had a coupon. When she took my coupon and looked at it, she immediately said "we dont take paper coupons". I asked when was this policy because as far as I know, shoppers drug mart policy allows this. She then answered me that, "all locations have this policy since 2 years ago". I was confused because I had used paper coupons at other locations too, never had this problem. Even if this was the one store that doesn't accept it, its wrong to speak on behalf of ALL the stores and tell me that none of them accepts paper coupons. You think I was born yesterday? C'mon. I called the head office, and they even confirmed that maybe its a store location issue but they shouldnt have said that all stores dont accept paper coupons, because as per the policy, stores do accept internet coupons. Ps: I already called the customer service. But no help at all.

As a healthcare worker I'm ashamed by the behaviours of a staff at this pharmacy. We went to get self testing COVID kits, we are all from different households, asking for just one kit each, and for some reason her attitude was very poor and just threw the box at my sister. I will make sure me and my colleagues do not fax prescriptions to this pharmacy as they do not seem to understand healthcare needs of the population.

SUMMARY This store does not welcome exchanges and they will give you a super hard time when doing so. They will ask you to pay the price difference if you purchased the item on sale. And they will use excuses to prevent you from doing exchange. DETAIL STORY Today I went to metrotown for grocery shopping and dropped by this SDM store to exchange a suncreen I bought a few days ago at another SDM, so that I don't have to make the extra effort to go to the original store for the exchange. The cashier Alex gave me a hard time when he was doing it. First of all, he made an return for the original product, which took my bonus points away because I used an offer of spending cad40 get cad10 back in points last time. So his return made me not qualified for the offer anymore so the bonus points were automatically taken away. Then he scanned the product that had a fresher date, and he asked me to pay doubled price even though I asked him the exact same question before doing the exchange and he gave me a positive answer at that time! I then repeated our conversation telling him he told me the price would not change so I dont have to pay the price difference, then in the following rounds of conversation, Alex gave me several excuses to reject changing the price. 1 he cannot change the price because it is a different item. I told him it looked exactly the same and had the exact SAME price bar code. 2 he said the suncreen was on sale because it was going to expire, so he could not exchange a fresher date. I told him it was because my PC optimum offer of buying one suncreen get one free (it was an personal PC optimum offer that many people had it last week), not because it was going to expire so it is on sale. However, the cashier was not willing to listen to my explanation and insisted to let me pay the doubled price for the item. At last, I told him OK sir, if you can not change the price, then I will just return the suncreen that is going to expire soon and do not purchase another one. Then he said if so you have to take the original product. You either pay the price difference for the exchange or take the old dated product with you. Before this point, I was patient and calm enough to explain everything to him. But when he said that rule, I said firmly OK, if you cannot help me in this issue, I think I need to talk to the store manager! Then he immediately said no no no, no manager. I can change the price. Then I paid it and left. I could have do not purchase that sunscreen and just left without any purchase given that he gave me such a hard time and also made me lose bonus points that I suppose to be entitled to. What a bad customer service! I don't know if it is the spirit of the store owner wants them to pass through to their customers or the store owner is not aware of how the store staff are treating their customers.

Poor service from pharmacy staff ended up costing wasted time. Had a COVID booster shot booked in the system for family member at 6pm. Arrived early and was told they were closing up the pharmacy and to rebook online. Not sure why they accept a 6pm if they can’t honour. Couldn’t rebook past the scheduled time because the system assumes the appointment has already occurred. What a hassle and waste of time due to poor service not to honour the appointment.
