I arrived at 8:30am when they opened up and I stood in line for 6 hours for passport renewal. Once I got closer to the front of the line (around 2:30pm) the security guard told me that there wasn’t enough time to help me and to come back earlier on another day.

Last Tuesday I was there for almost 2hours and I gave up. I counted like 30 people in front and 15 behind me + inside there. The lady separated in 2 lines one for emergency and other for more than 25 days. My flight is between 2 and 25 days and she told me be back 2 days before my trip. In 2 hours I walked like 4 steps and the emergency line didn't move at all.

I went to get a Social Insurance Number. Waited two hours downstairs and then one hour upstairs. The work efficiency here is unbelievably low. Is there anyway to give them some pressure so they can change their behavior?

Both of the security ladies were ok, the security guy was pretty rude with no empathy. They cast people out at 3pm. The office should have told the clients there was only two agents working today. Anyone come in after 11:30 am will not see an agent if you want to deal with sin number, and definitely no agent for passport walk in clients after 10 am. The office should have known its capacity, if it cannot take that many walk-ins, just tell the clients straight up, it was really stupid to give out vague answers. BOOK AN APPOINTMENT if it was not an emergency, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

Went there on May 18, 2022. They do not provide walk-in service for passport applications at the moment (not sure about urgent cases); an appointment is required. Since they don't accept walk-ins anymore, the line was very short. At the entrance there would be two lines, the one on the left for anything passport related; the one on the right for everything else. They checked my name on the ground floor to verify that I had an appointment. Then I was told to go up to the 3rd floor. Once there, another staff checked my name for appointment again, then I was lining up at the pre-screen selection line. There were only 3 people ahead of me. The clerk then checked the paperwork and gave me a receipt. I spent less than 30 minutes there. I was told they would aim to mail out the passport on June 2nd, which is about 10 business days, so it's not too bad.

Terrible service. Arrived at 1030 am and wasn't seen like 2 pm. To get a simple print out of sin number. Office only has about 3 people working. Need to to double or triple the office workers here. These are good paying jobs, no reason why the government can't fill more of these positions when so many at struggling to pay rent. Awful system

Had an appointment. filled my paperwork PROPERLY. Was done with my passport process in less than an hour. And the people inside the office were nice. Security had an attitude but it’s expected because of how busy the place is.

It's taken over 2 hours to even reach the entrance of the building and I have been standing in line since 730. I do not know why it takes so long. I'm just tired of waiting. Update: So it turns out that the massive lineup is for people with proof of immediate travel plans so it turns out I could have skipped the whole lineup. The overall time to actually process the application was about 15 minutes. So that was very quick, but omg, please put a sign with this information! My feet were killing me.
