The WORST branch ever! The financial advisors are extremely rude and condescending. I am leaving Scotia to join TD they have been way better in the first few days then I have experienced the last 10 years at this branch!

This has been one of the most unpleasant experiences my husband and I have ever had trying to get a mortgage through Ashley Brisebois at this branch. It has taken more then two weeks to get an answer to find out that our application has not even been processed and to find out she didn't even ask for all of the information required. This has been a time sensitive matter and we have now had to offset certain plans to accommodate for her tardiness. Due to her lack of actions this branch has now lost lost us as clients. I would steer clear if you are needing something done in a timely manner.

Had a problem with depositing at the ATM at this bank while there were no tellers available, so the Assistant Manager was able to get to fixing the problem immediately. He showed great customer service just by helping me to figure out the problem before putting something else first.

I have dealt with a couple of financial advisers at this branch who have generally been friendly and helpful, but the tellers act like they are doing you a massive favour when they help you. No attempt at friendliness or customer service.

We are a very long time client/customer of scotia bank, unfortunately we have some emergency matter and need to apply a line of credit, we called our advisor at Chinookmall location but he’s in vacation, so we have no choice to go other locations and other advisors, we ended on this location at Scotia bank Cranston, we have appointments to Mr. EHSHAN KHAN pls don’t ever go to this location specially with this person, he’s so rude and disrespectful!! The way he talked to his client/customer kind a racist!!! You have to talk your client nicely, respectful and professional, whatever or whoever we are!!!! You are not the owner of Scotia Bank for your information!!!! Dont act like you’re the one who will borrowed us Mr. EHSHAN KHAN!!! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE??!!!!JUST WAIT FOR YOUR BAD KARMA!!!! I will post your name EHSHAN KHAN AND THIS LOCATION TO ALL SOCIAL MEDIA PAGE DONT EVER GO TO SCOTIA BANK CRANSTON LOCATION BECAUSE OF THAT KIND OF PERSON!!!!

This review is not specific to the Cranston branch, as I haven't gone in there in a very long time long time, as it seems the institution as a whole does not value face to face service much, as accordingly their branch hours have been greatly reduced Thus, this review is for Scotiabank in general. I feel that in the last few years their customer service has seriously eroded. Wait times on any given day are a minimum of 30-45 minutes. I was recently locked out of my account and was sent a message to call in, as my online access was blocked. Of course this required a minimum 50 minute wait. Seriously?! How very convenient, to have my account locked, and unable to make online purchases, and then be forced to sit on hold for one hour. I especially love that before their automated system transfers your call, they say "Your business is very important to us," and then proceed to make you sit on hold. I also recently had Scotia Itrade charge me $25 fee for inactivity on my account. I had only opened the account 3 months prior, and should have not been charged. A $25 fee on an account that has a mere $100 in it? Then when I finally got a hold of someone via telephone call, they tell me they will reimburse me the fee, but it won't show up on my account for a few days. It's been several days, and no credit to my account. I told Itrade I wanted to close my Itrade account after that, but NO, not possible. I would have to phone back in to do that, as they cannot refund me the fee if I close the account (even though it's linked to all my other Scotia accounts.) So in other words, I would have to phone in again, requiring another exorbitant wait. Scotiabank needs to hire more phone customer service agents, and step it up, because we for one are very close to dumping our accounts and going elsewhere. As it stands now, their level of customer service is unacceptable.

Trying to get a callback or any help from my advisor is impossible. They took money out of a LOC of mine without even telling me because they had made a mistake on something else and needed the cost covered.

Not so inviting branch to bank with. Front staff aren’t nice and looks like they hate their job. You can’t even see them smile at you back. They should go back to their first day of work when they get excited to help a client. I’d suggest training these staff again if you want a higher rating on customer service.
