A financial advisor once said to me, "It's hard to quickly develop trust with people like us, bankers, mortgage brokers, etc, because we're asking our prospective customer to get financially naked in front of us."
I have to tell you, Kristen Young is someone who brings a tremendous amount of credibility, empathy and discretion to any discussion involving money and lending. Getting financially naked - no pun intended - wasn't hard to do at all.
We're a self-employed family which can sometimes make personal lending interesting... I absolutely loved Kristen's thoughtful and creative approach to helping us find the right lender.
While I believe the banks are great for a number of reasons, I would much rather work with Kristen - she has more options, works her heart out, and patiently helped us navigate our way through some challenging issues.
The mortgage industry is heavily commoditized. Yes, rates and terms matter, but so does confidence, peace of mind, and integrity. It's not just about the deal, it's about the whole journey, and I for one look forward to working with a professional like Kristen Young again in the future.
