I’ve been seeing Marie at Sonya’s for more than a decade now. I don’t live in Toronto anymore but I look forward to going back just so I can get my eyebrows done with Marie. No one really knows how to do eyebrows like her. She does magic. My first eyebrow appointment after the pandemic lockdown, and I looked like a different person. Marie is also just plain wonderful as a human. I miss her living away from Toronto. Highly recommend.

Not a trustworthy place. Stay far away if you do not want to be ripped off. I recommend to stay far away from this place as you will end up overpaying for something you can get elsewhere for half the price. I called the salon to inquire about price for hair colour for my slightly below shoulder length hair. The owner advised me on the phone that the price is $100 ($60 colour and $40 blow dry). When I got there she said I needed to colour my whole head rather than just touch up. So I trusted her and let her colour my whole head with one colour thinking that the price would be maybe the same or just a bit higher. I ended up getting charged $120 for hair colour + $40 blow dry for a total of $160 without a hair cut. She then added $20 for HST so the total was $180. I have been to this salon twice before and the owner always included the HST in her price, not sure why she decided to tack on the tax this time. The first time I was at this salon, I was charged $70 for cut and blow dry, when my friend who recommended to go there said it should be $40 for a cut. The second time I really needed a hair cut and decided to go back to give this place another chance, I was charged $95 for the same service including tax. Now for my third time, I was extorted of $180 for just a regular hair colour job done in 1 hour by junior staff. My friends go to very nice salons in very nice areas (Rosedale, midtown) where you get a hair cut, extensive hair highlights and colour for $200 in total for 4 hours of service. I don’t mind paying a higher price if I receive all the services that I deserve for my money. Not only is this salon owner inconsistent with her price, her attitude toward customers is also extremely rude and stuck up. This is just simply not the way to treat customers in a service business. I will never go back.

I highly recommend this salon. I love their services and the way the staff take care of their clients. The salon itself is so classy and clean. I have been going there to do my hair colour/cut/style with Sherry and Jessica and I love them both. Mary does my eyebrows to perfection. I do not let anyone touch my eyebrows but Mary. She does a wonderful job threading them. Sonya and Patricia (owners) are wonderful people and excellent at what they do. Hair/eyebrow miracles :)

If someone can cut with scissors, does not mean she can be a hairstylist. The worst place to cut your hair. She is rude and charge too expensive ($ 70+ tax) for messed up my hair.

Aside from the salon's convenient location, I walked out with a beautiful cut/highlights/colour. Despite it being my first time there, I was surprised of the colour match (actually even better)...and the cut was amazing!

Just went for a haircut, I have a bob style wanted to get similar like that as my hair grew from previous Not a worth experience at all for 80$ charged fee, for a wash cut and then asked if I needed a blow dry, as if I can go out with a drenched hairdo during snow time, really? There are a number of better options in North York, please try that instead

I went in for a post pandemic cut and Color. Turned out fantastic. My hair is naturally dark brown, and I turned it orange trying at at home kit. Sonya was able to Color correct my hair (took a long time in the chair). She was extremely patient and got my hair back to a medium ash blond that I wanted. Life saver!

The staff is nice, but performance is very poor. I got a haircut and eyebrows correction. For my haircut I showed a picture, but the stylist did the worst job I ever had. It seems that she did not even know how to cut this style properly. This stylist definitely did not upgraded her skills for a lot of years and are not familiar with latest trends. She completely ruined my hair. The eyebrows lady removed part of my right eyebrow because it was lower then it's supposed to be.
